Changing bot status

Below is a tutorial for Special:MakeBot tool and/or Special:UserRights tool which only Bureaucrat user group has access to.

Bureaucrats can grant or revoke an accounts bot flag by either using Special:MakeBot or Special:UserRights. Do note that although Special:MakeBot and Special:MakeSysop still function, Special:UserRights has obsoleted both of them.

Checkbox next to "Bot" grants or revokes the bot flag

Click "grant" to assign a bot flag to the account in question.
