Sorting[edit]

It's hard to understand the sorting of the list, which makes it not so readable: please either follow an understandable one (chronological/alphabetical) or explain it. Thanks, Nemo 08:33, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I had the same feeling, but then saw that it was sorted on surname (alphabetically) Jan-Bart (talk) 09:47, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hah! So obvious, but I'm not used to surnames in Wikimedia I guess. --Nemo 20:31, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"FDC Staff"[edit]

Could you clarify who are the "FDC staff" who shortest the list for board selection? --Itzike (talk) 08:40, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The process is described here. [1]. My understanding is that Anasuya Sengupta (or ASengupta (WMF) on wiki) is the lead FDC staff who is working with the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees. According to the email sent to Wikimedia-l she is on a short weekend break so Wikimedia Board of Trustee's member Jan-Bart de Vreede (who was a Board represtentative to the FDC Advisory Group) posted the short list. ASengupta (WMF) user page describes one of Anasuya's roles at the WMF as leading the staff support team for the FDC. FloNight (talk) 11:04, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
