A few comments on your report[edit]

Thank you for the detailed report! This seems like a well-organized and well-documented event. I have just a few small suggestions / questions:

  • Can you elaborate a little on the following statement: "Even if during the event the conceptualization and methodology went very well and people got the idea of the event very easily; for some members of Amical Viquipedia was difficult to visualize it before the event. Some how it shows there is a lack of experience on meeting "offline" among local viquipedians." ?
  • Also, should "The first version of the How to manual is expected to be realized not before January 2011." read "The first version of the How to manual is expected to be realized not before January 2012."? (I noticed that it was changed to 2012 by ljon and then reverted back to 2011 again in a later version.)
  • One minor detail: it would be good of you to include links to the articles you mention in press reporting, if available. (I noticed they were not all included here.)

When you finish the first version of the manual later this month, please consider updating your report to reflect the number of visitors and endorsements you receive, and the overall success of the first version of the manual. We'd be interested to learn how it's going.

i) I resent you the statement of accounts and the copy of the bills of each cost directly to the e-mail you provided here above.

ii) Further clarification:

Wikipedians/wikimedians not necessarily have previous experience in organizing events, particularly events related to combine action and research perspectives or to do cross-networking between several sectors of free culture movement (going beyond Wikipedia community from a narrow sense). In this regard, for some was difficult to realize what was going to happen during the event or how it could contribute to the goals of Amical Viquipedia. There is also the question that one of the person in charge of organizing it (Mayo Fuster) has a long experience organizing events and could visualize it more easily than other participants, without realizing that for people with less experience conceiving and organizing such events might be difficult to imaging it easily. However, when the event took place the ones who couldn't understand it previously said they realize the value of the event. More concretely during our annual assembly in December 18th and we did the evaluation of the event (which we will provide further detail on this group evaluation later on (see point iv about a new release of the report after the How to manual is launched) there was explicitly mention that the innovative character of the event (in terms of methodology and in terms of relationships established) was what make it difficult to realize it before hands, but that it created something new and valuable, and a model to follow for event organizations, particularly in terms of the low budget expended for how much impact we got (number of attendees, international participation, outcomes, etc).

iii) Release "How to manual": The first version of the How to manual is expected to be realized not before January 2011. We expect to have it end of January, later beginning of February. But see also that it will remain as a working progress resource so alone the following months we also aim that it is enrich by collaborative writing upon the first version.

iv) Re report after "How to manual" release:
