Help:Common words, searching for which is not possible
From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki
| MediaWiki Handbook: Contents, Readers, Editors, Moderators, System admins +/- |
Some words cannot be searched for, because they are deemed too common. The MySQL-specific list of stopwords is at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/fulltext-stopwords.html.
To override the stopword list: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/server-system-variables.html#sysvar_ft_stopword_file
If the exact title of an article is known or guessed, the Go button can be used; this feature is not affected by the above-mentioned restriction.
