Help talk:Article count

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Recently the NUMBEROFARTCILES-feature has changed to include a comma between every third digit. (E.g. we are currently working on 522,222 articles., instead of just 522222). However the comma is not good in every language. In Swedish, for example, you divide the digits simply with a <space> (E.g: 522 222). In Swedish a comma means the same as a dot in English, making the number of articles on Swedish Wikipedia becoming about 69½. Is there a MediaWiki-message (e.g. MediaWiki:Countdigitdivider) where you can change the comma into a space? If not, could someone add a thread about it on Bugzilla? Thanks in advance. I don't know how it was done , but on de: a dot is used, see de:Wikipedia:Variablen; you can ask there.--Patrick 20:13, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
As concerns Latvian language, the problem is identical to the one in Swedish. This comma changes the meaning and is very confusing. Is there a way to change this? --Juzeris|talk 15:16, Jul 5, 2005 (UTC)

How to make MediaWiki counts articles in other namespaces beside main namespace? I want to display count of few namespaces on my wiki project together. Adundovi 08:21, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
