Type one (wikimedia/bot/*)

MartinBot

• MartinBot is an AVB clone, and is effectively the only bot running at the moment for anti-vandalism purposes on en-wiki and IRC. It is already cloaked under my nick. The bot is invaluable in reporting users to be blocked to IRC, and in taking instruction from users in #vandalism-en-wp.

MiszaBot

• The bot is yet another clone of pgkbot, i.e. an event reporting bot for the anti-vandalism channel. It uses the mediawiki/Misza13/bot/MiszaBot cloak - please recloak as wikimedia/bot/MiszaBot

Wiki-Bot

• wikimedia/bot/Wiki-Bot
• Checking of file uploads at Commons
  • Checks if the files haven't been previousy deleted (http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/cgi-bin/deletedimage.py?hash=).
  • Verifies that the file content matches the extension for Jpeg, Gif, Png, Svg, Ogg, Djvu and Pdf.
  • PNGs are fully checked.
  • Alerts of MS-DOS, Windows and *nix (ELF, COFF, XCOFF & ECOFF) executables.
  • Alerts of embedded Rar files (see http://www.thetechtray.net/2007/05/30/hiding-files-in-jpegs/).
  • Image dimensions are shown for Png, Svg and some Jpegs (JFIF).
  • Fuzzy checks JPEGs for matches with Google image thumbnails (has false positives)
  • Lists the uploaded files (ability to whitelist & blacklist uploaders)

tstimebot

• The bot is a time bot for the Wikimedia Toolserver and idles in #wikimedia-toolserver. It gives the current date and time to users who quote !time in the channel; this is sometimes required for management or coding purposes by the toolserver users. Preferred cloak would be wikimedia/bot/tstimebot and it already holds a unaffiliated/thelettere/bot/tstimebot cloak.

lcarsbot

• At the moment this bot does only a few tasks such as linking (via -link) echoing the replag (via -replag) but I hope to equip it with factoids and a system which will check to see if a page exists in the wiki associated with the channel and give some information. If it is prefered the bot can go under its alternate nick name 'lcarsdata|bot'.
