This page outlines the policy that governs proposals to open new language subdomains of existing projects.

The language subcommittee processes requests in accordance with the application procedure and prior experience with requests and projects. The subcommittee can skip steps in the procedure if they consider a request to have already met the objectives of those steps. Proposals for projects in a language that already has a well-established project may be fast-tracked in this way.

요청이 승인되기 위해서는, 아래의 요구사항이 모두 충족되어야 합니다. 신청하기 전이나 후에 만족하면 됩니다. 그러나 기본적인 요구사항은 신청 전에 만족할 것을 요구합니다. 더 도움이 필요하시면, 분과 위원회에 질문하세요.


  • 조건부 승인에 필요한 조건
    1. 제안신청은 이미 존재하는 위키미디아 프로젝트의 아직 존재하지 않는 새로운 언어판에 대해 열려 있습니다.(complete list of Wikimedia projects 참조).
    2. 언어는 분명하게 ISO-639 (search) 또는 BCP 47 (list) 코드 번호를 갖고 있어야 합니다.
      만약 ISO-639 또는 RFC 4646 코드가 없다면, it should be a natural language or a well-established constructed language. The Wikimedia Foundation does not seek to develop new linguistic entities; there must be an extensive body of works in that language. The information that distinguishes this language from another should be sufficient to convince standards organizations to create an ISO-639 or BCP 47 code.
    3. 언어는 충분히 고유성이 있어야 합니다. 기존에 존재하지 않는 언어판이어야 합니다. 대부분의 경우에, 지역적인 방언과, 같은 언어를 다른 형태로 사용하는 경우는 제외되므로, 새로 신청할 수 있습니다.

  • 최종 승인에 필요한 조건
    1. Incubator wiki에 활동중인 테스트 프로젝트가 있어야 합니다.
      A project should start on the Incubator wiki. This will demonstrate that there is sufficient community to build the project. If there is no valid ISO 639 or BCP 47 code, the test project will provide some of the material to present to the World Language Documentation Center. This is also a good occasion to translate the MediaWiki software if there is no version in that language.
    2. 언어를 위한 localization 파일들이 존재해야 합니다.
      MediaWiki 인터페이스는 각 언어를 위한 localization 파읻들이 만들어져 있습니다. If there are no files for this language yet, the language subcommittee will contact the community to arrange for translation before the wiki can be created.

사용자들은 인큐베이터 위키에서 테스트 프로젝트를 쓰기 시작할 수 있습니다. 테스트 프로젝트가 성공할 때 까지, 최소한 5명의 활동중인 사용자가 정기적으로 편집을 해야 합니다.

You are encouraged to search for interested contributors yourself, as this may speed up the process considerably. These users must explicitly state that they are willing to contribute time and effort to the project.

1년 이내에 사용이 거의 없으면 프로젝트는 중단될 수 있다는 점을 주의하세요.

만약, 프로젝트가 성공적이면, language subcommittee는 요청을 승인합니다. 신청 페이지에 "{{ls-header|approved}}" 틀을 붙여줄 겁니다. 그리고 Board of Trustees 위원회에 통보됩니다. 만약 위원회가 4일 이내에 거부하지 않는다면, 개발자는 위키를 만들 것을 요청받게 됩니다.

프로젝트를 찬성하는 사람과 반대하는 사람의 숫자는 고려되지 않습니다(irrelevant).

위원회에 의해 승인이 되면 위키가 활성화됩니다. header comment 가 갱신될 것입니다.

This may accelerate the process. For Wikipedia proposals, the List of articles every Wikipedia should have may be useful. All pages developed as part of a test wiki can be transferred to the actual wiki when it is opened.
