Committee Composition [edit]

There is a clear advantage to having this committee also represent communities of potential grantees, and not just the granters. On the other hand, if this is to happen in the lightweight process that was intended for this program, we must avoid an unworkably-large committee or a process that's too drawn out.

Beyond reaching out to existing chapters where applicable (already policy of this program), I would venture we can and should make use of the grant requests' talk pages to express concerns or solicit more input where we feel we don't have enough information to make a decision. A link to the talk page can then be shared as appropriate, on village pumps and/or on public or non-public mailing lists.
