This is an archived version of this page, as edited by Pathoschild (talk | contribs) at 04:17, 4 April 2007 (→‎[[nrm:User:Robbot]]: done). It may differ significantly from the current version.
This page hosts requests for a bot flag on a Wikimedia wiki with no bureaucrats. Please read the instructions before posting a request.

Instructions

Before posting here

If there is a bureaucrat on the local wiki, please ask them to fulfill your request using Special:Makebot on the relevant wiki. Before requesting access here, make sure to obtain consensus on the local wiki if there is a community (see the index of request pages). If there is no local community, request on this page with a note to that effect.

Remember to read the local project's bot policy. This should be linked from the local bot request page; a few are listed below.

Making a request

Please include the following information in your request:

  • the bot owner,
  • the bot account,
  • the wiki project on which you ask for bot status,
  • a link to the local announcement page,
  • and be sure to indicate that you have gotten community approval (if there is no community, please indicate that).

If anything is missing from your request, a steward will request more information. Please don't skip the last point even if there's no community on the project, or there's no announcement page— if that's the case, just be bold and make one! You may use this template as a starting point for a bot policy and request file.

To an add an entry, please copy and paste the text below into the appropriate section.

I am requesting once again that this bot get a bot flag on the Norman Wikipedia—someone stated before that it was not active, but it made some edits just today. I'm an admin on the Norman Wikipedia (nrm:User:C'valyi d'Jade; I neglected to notice I was not signed in for my most recent edits, unfortunately). We have a very small community and no request page. Done and announced on nrm:Talk:Page dé garde. —{admin} Pathoschild 04:04:19, 04 April 2007 (UTC)

Dinybot

I request that q:es:User:Dinybot get a bot flag on the Spanish Wikiquote:

User:Drini has asked me to put my request here.

Thank you! --Martin Kozák 15:53, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Martin Kozák. Please reach a consensus with the es-Wikiquote community before requesting here. The most common way to do this is a simple vote on a prominent community page, since such requests are rarely controversial. If there is no opposition, one of us will assign the bot flag to Dinybot. —{admin} Pathoschild 22:03:28, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Please grant it pathoschild, wikiquote community is very small (I'm sysop there btw so I didn't issue it inmediately), and the bot is uncontrovertial. He put his request on the village-pump equivalent and noone objected drini [es:] [commons:] 01:57, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
*sigh* Done drini [es:] [commons:] 02:15, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

zh-classical

I am the administrator of Classical Chinese Wikipedia, since there is no Bureaucrat yet, I request the following bits to obtain the bots status as they work well in this wikipedia. My local page:zh-classical:User:Itsmine.

Can you provide a link to the local request page?--Shanel 01:43, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for you mention, the request page has been already made, because the active wikipedian is few, after one week, if no oppose, please authorize them.--Itsmine 11:23, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done - sorry Shanel, I didn't mean to conflict your position. Those 4 bots are very well known and already operate on dozens of different 'pedias without (AFAIK) any complain. --Paginazero - Ø 12:24, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
