Translation: I tried using this on the Tagalog Wikipedia but the people there just block me. I think a new Wikipedia for this language should be used for minorities such as myself.--23prootie 04:40, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Arguments in favour[edit]

Arguments against[edit]

  • This is not a Wikipedia in another language and as such it is inadmissible. I will check with other members of the language committee. GerardM 06:48, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • The difference in writing system would allow this to be a different language. Theoretically, this may be the same as Tagalog but due to the different writing system used, it would be unintelligible to those who only know Latin. So this is a separate literary language. Besides Alibata is kinda banned in the (Modern) Tagalog Wikipedia.--23prootie 09:13, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Other discussion[edit]

The policy in the Tagalog Wikipedia effectively blocks any variant of the language from being used in there with the sole exception of the w:Filipino language. I request that there be a reconsideration for this Wikipedia.--23prootie 05:11, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why should the language be written in another script when everybody uses the Latin script? Thanks, GerardM 09:04, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
