    • Inari Sami is an official language in Inari. It uses the Latin alphabet and has a standard orthography.
      • What about making se: for all Sami variants in general? We need to clean up this page a bit, and stop wasting subdomains like when the Aromanian wiki was made and they didn't even consider merging it with the Romanian wiki. Scott Gall 04:12, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)
        • No, the Sami languages are too far apart from each other; at least some are. Inari Sami seems to be further apart from Northern Sami than Aromanian is from Romanian. My main concern is: can you get enough enough for a language that has only a few hundred speakers? And about cleaning this page up: I did so, but now Node put all the rubbish back and called me a thought police. Caesarion
  • Considering the very small number of speakers this Wikipedia would be doomed unless at least a few native speakers are committed. As long as no native speakers declare their interest, I oppose this project. Arbeo 16:24, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
    • You're right, the proposer should bother to find some native speaker interest.

  • SUPPORT:let's make this wiki! We can't allow this language (as well as any other) to disappear! The divulgation (and preservation9 of a language) should be inversely proportional to the number of speakers. I don't speak this language (i'm Italian) but I hopespeakers could make their version of Wikipedia. Let's spread this initiative, and not only on the Web!
