- [1] found that 16.1% of editors who started editing English Wikipedia during 2009 and who specified their gender were female.

- [4] finds that, considering the researchers in physics, economics and philosophy with the highest h-index on Google Scholar, narrowed down to the 2/3 of them who have the most typically male or female names, women are less likely than men with a similar h-index to have an English Wikipedia article about someone with the same name (for instance, an article may exist for 8 % of women in the list of physicists, vs. 14 % of men).
