A new data infrastructure for Wikimedia
The Research Committee launched in December an open consultation to understand:
- what data we should collect, host and share from our projects (on top of the public datasets that we already publish)
- the technical and computational requirements that would allow programmers to build new applications and researchers to run new research projects building on this data
The consultation ran through January 2012 and collected more than 100 responses, which will be fully released under a CC0 license.
