Privacy[edit]

I especially liked: «IP data will not be collected by the survey system but the location information (State if in the US or Country elsewhere) will be recorded.» We don't have such a strong protection in surveys conducted by the Wikimedia Foundation on surveymonkey and qualtrics! :-) On the other hand, [1] states «As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses» so perhaps you meant that you don't have access to IPs, even though the website does? Or if they don't, their privacy policy lacks a "may". --Nemo 13:34, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for commenting on this project! when I log in to Fluidsurvey account, I can choose whether or not to track certain information. So with this survey, we chose not to collect IP but the location information (it will show the State if it's in US or country otherwise). I am not sure if the company will still capture IP information even though we chose not to, but certainly we will not have that information to us. --- Lu Xiao
