Global block for User:212.121.219.1 and/or User:88.224.57.36 [edit]

It is the hobby of these IPs to replace maps of countries, globally. While one might expect some political POV-pushing behind it, I haven't noticed much of that: it concerns all sort of countries, also ones which don't have any border conflicts. It is often only the colours that vary. This is annoying and useless enough; but now appeared this second IP (it's dynamic, so less easy to track) which reverts all these map replacements, which is even more pointless. Here the IP was reverted, and reverted again giving some sort of reason really concerning the map; though meanwhile it started to give out "warnings" about the 212.etc IP... (more examples: [1], even to local sysops personally, [2]). --MF-W 14:28, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

I disagree. Having edits is not a prerequisite to being blocked as a proxy, and I've personally verified all of them as proxies capable of editing.--Jasper Deng (talk) 17:10, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
A tip: verifying a proxy is not always trivial. Since you confirmed them, add details on how (entry port/method). To explain why: some editors assume that IP is open proxy only because Google says so, or it was blocked as open proxy, or blacklisted by some external site, or etc. Materialscientist (talk) 06:14, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Well, here is an example of an IP (definitly not EVW), that didn't change for more than one month. I remember Bluewin-IPs changing constantly after three days as well as IPs being stable up to six months. So in the end it's a case of trial and error and two weeks seems to be a good trial.
