Paginazero, I think this should be mentioned after the vote finishes. It is not right for the candidates because in 3 days some users may vote against and the users could be not supported anymore (as precedence see the 10th "steward" in 2006 elections) -Romihaitza 21:02, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

According to this voting, we at pt: decided to request CheckUser, and that it would be in a per-bureaucrat attribution. This means that when the bureaucrat ceases his/her term, access to CheckUser shall be ceased as well. I think it would be easier to flag +checkuser the whole bureaucrat group, if that is possible, instead of giving/taking the flag individually. That's up to you. However, this is not the rule under which attribution of checkuser rights was supposed to work. Normally, checkusers should be individually approved by the community. I suppose that since these are all three new bureaucrats, the community agrees on them. But there is no certainty for older bureaucrats. Who are they ? Please, do not make more pt bureaucrats checkusers unless there is nominative support for now. There will be no common flag for bureaucrat+checkuser, because these are two differents jobs. If Pt wants to suggest only bureaucrats for checkuser access, this is totally all right, but imho, each user should be approved. Not all of them as a group. Anthere

Well this project is not closed and has been in existence for over a year. If the project should be closed it should have been done a long time ago, and not now. It is not fair to leave a project open and have people give up their free time only to see the whole thing deleted. Unless there are objections to Flcelloguy being made a admin then I see no reason why access should not be granted.

Hello, I would like to request sysop access on nah.wikt, because I am about to translate the interface and would also like to replace the english interface with a spanish one for the parts I am not able to translate (a spanish interface would be more likely to be understandable by native speakers). My question here is also: Would it be possible to import the spanish interface or has this to be done by hand?. Also I am regulary online there and cleaning it from spam.

Please follow the procedure and request here after gaining community consensus. I know you have almost no community (12 registered users) but I see some active in Recent changes. So we should wait.
For importing you can get import permission temporary to try to import the XML file, or if you have no changes from eswiki you can ask a developer to copy their Language file to your wiki --Romihaitza 11:11, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

This is confusing. Thanks JHS, actually I already were temp sysop, I used this to delete spam and to translate a bit of the interface [5] [6], but I asked for permanent adminship now (at least until a community there has established). If you don't want me to be admin there I have no problem with that, just an explaination would be nice, thanks.

Just as I mentionned to many above, when there is such a small community that noone vote on a request, I think we should only give sysop status. If no one can vote on the request, there is chance bureaucrats are not need until a while. Anthere 14:09, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

Oscar, it's not so important for now. Currently there are no vandals or lots of users who want sys-op status etc. I made this request as a procedure. Thanks for your replies(and also Anther's). I have just applied for the Czech domain of Wikisource. See here

  • The Czech Wikisource has been voting on this here.
  • The Czech Wikipedia has also voted (and is still votin since 5 days) who should be the admin bureaucrat on the new cs.wikisource. I have applied these rights, se voting on the Czech Wikipedia here.

I am in cs:wiki since May 2004, admin there since November 2004; about 6000 edits there; also participating in de:wiki; admin in wikisource.org with about 300 edits. In all projets my name is -jkb-. -jkb- 16:29, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

Today, in the afternoon, I requested for a status as admin bureaucrat on a Czech domain o Wikisource, where I put a request to create it some minutes ago. This request here was archived by Romihaitza some short time later. I protest against this as follows:

  1. on the page Wikisource:Language domain requests on the Wikisource there is a clear advice,
    For all people requested rights on new wikis, please create an account on these wikis and post a message on Meta : Requests_for_permissions#Admin_for_Wikisource. Thanks. Yann 19:50, 25 August 2005 (UTC) (not saying when to do so)
  2. if somebody like me does do a fault, so please tell me this on my page either here or at wikisource org (they are known)
  3. apart from this, on my page in cs:wiki I saw a mesage from Romihaitza, telling there, that I did a fault
  4. first, I do not can communicate with somebody on a rumanian wiki
  5. and second and very important: if this user gives me this notice on the Czech wikipediea, so it means, that all the people, having voted for me, now see, I have made a fault, and this is slightly bad for me, isnt it?

OK. I read the page in wikisource.org, and not here. Secondly, what does it mean the voting (i.e. community approval) is over? Sure, some five days ago I asked the community in the czech wikipedia to tell me, if there is this wish. They voted for it. But they are still voting, all with yes, why to stop it? OK, I stop the votes now, but I see it like a little nonsence. So, after some minutes, see there and it will be stopped.   • According to the fact that the project is not yet created and can take long time until it will be (you applied for it just today!). Incidentally, the local request page is a non-issue and a mere formality since this a new project. My request is of considerable urgency since many of the messages need to be translated and the css and js files fine tuned.
