  • Oppose Oppose He added kowikinews to list of global bot wikis without normal process of implementation of global bot policy.[1] And there wasn't any notification to the projects. Steward should have gone through the normal process to implement the policy. Steward who ignored the process should be responsible to his actions and his right should be removed. – Kwj2772 (msg) 05:25, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
What else can I do to apologize after having done a mistake? Unluckily nobody is perfect and I feel very sorry when I make mistakes, but is much more important for me to be responsible to excuse them what I've done. I have not ignored the process, in fact, I didn't know it properly and so acted with best faith. It's nevertheless a shame and unluckily cannot be canged in the aftermath so I'm very sorry that I did not know the exact procedure and hereby ask again to be excused. Kind regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 07:08, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

  • Oppose Oppose It seems that he/she gave/took the oversight privilage to/from his/herself on several wiki even though they looked unnecessary.--Vigorous action 10:09, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Could you please provide examples? You maybe refer to my quick additions and removal of oversight rights on several wikis. You maybe think that I could not have oversighted all needed revisions within that short time (just a few seconds). That's due to a bug (bugzilla:20954): The function of bug 20954 forces stewards to switch on global oversight rights, just to be able to review potentially oversightable edits by users whose username stewards have quickly had to hide from logs and article histories. So I could do all needed oversight actions before I had to change my rights. For transparency issues I changed my rights in the aftermath but that only takes seconds to switch on and switch off the bit. You're right, that looks a bit like not having done anything. But I can assure you that I only give myself oversight rights when it is really needed. Maybe another steward can confirm that behaviour but you can also look at my comment on this bug: “Anyone interested in fixing that bug so that stewards do not have to stay global oversights to see contributions of hidden accounts? Stewards are suppossed to change their rights because of transparency issues when doing oversight actions. Most of them still do that but we cannot control if anyone did one without changing it. That is not acceptable. So I again beg to our developers to fix that bug as soon as possible.” Kind regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 10:31, 18 February 2011 (UTC) P. S. If you're looking at my user page you can see that I'm male. ;o)
It is ..""10:10, 28 September 2010 DerHexer (talk | contribs) changed group membership for User:DerHexer@jawiki from (none) to oversight ‎ (they have no oversights? o_O)". the one at this time.--Vigorous action 11:03, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
As per request by DerHexer I've been asked to review his actions there. In 28 September 2010 DerHexer performed oversight action to remove personal information combined with slander & abusive user name in an article, according to Oversight#Use:§1 «Removal of non-public personal information», §2 «Removal of potentially libelous information» and §4 «Hiding of blatant attack names [...]». The Japanese Wikipedia has no local oversighters and I find the oversight action according the use of the tool as I've said above. The summary could have been more descriptive but there's absolutelly no abuse here. Even if the wiki had local oversighters as per oversight policy «[s]tewards may perform local oversighting in emergencies, during crosswiki oversighting [...]». Respectfully sumbitted, -- Dferg ☎ talk 11:23, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep Keep, one of the better and active stewards who i have known for quite a long time now. His ability to deal with vandalism faster than the bots on the English wikipedia was something to marvel at and now being able to do the same for over 600+ wikis, he has shown he is reliable, hardworking and up to task..many better stewards have retired but he has not let the pressure get to him..one of the best stewards ever.. :) ..--Stemoc 15:08, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
