Talk:Brazil Catalyst Project/Agenda June 2011

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Brasília[edit]

Are you expecting you to come back to Brasília this year? Maybe we could continue the conversations with Ministries (Education, Culture, Justice, Foreign Affairs). I will meet them (and others) in a conference about "Knowledge Management in Public Administration" here, on August. It would be great to have your support. Oi, Michel. We're unfortunately not going to be able to go to Brasilia in June (which is very sad: I loved it there!), but we should talk about ways we might be able to support you and the conference you are helping host. Feel free to email me if you have ideas on what support you need. Jwild 18:05, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, Jessie. I'll do that. Thank you! CasteloBrancomsg 11:47, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion: Marília, SP[edit]

Another suggestion it'll be you, "official Wikimedia members", giving official lectures at the universities, explaining how Wikipedia really works and showing who are the contributors (everybody) and how they make Wikipedia runs. Thus, you can motivate more educators to use Wikipedia as a teaching tool. So, I suggest a lecture at Unesp - Marília Campus, where I began to incorporate the Wikipedia Ambassador Program. —– Jaider Msg 23:51, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion: Campinas, SP[edit]

Campinas has Unicamp, one of the top universities in Brazil. I talked to a professor today, (Jorge Stolfi - he is the most cited Brazilian computer scientist and has a huge amount of contributions to WP) and he's interested in the Campus Ambassadors program. I'm also the founder of a startup and free knowledge project called Umamão, and a big part of our goal is integrating with and fostering the creation of content to be contributed to Wikipedia. We would like to help with the Ambassadors program and discuss other possible partnerships. We are also located at Unicamp, so it would be very nice if you came here and talked to us and the professors. (If you're not available to come to Campinas, I would also like to meet up in São Paulo.) Helder Ribeiro 21:40, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Quintinense 23:33, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion: Recife, PE[edit]

Jonas AGX 12:39, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New WikiSampa[edit]

Eu proponho uma nova Wiki Sampa. Pode ser em qualquer lugar de SP. --Vitor Mazuco Msg 01:07, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oi, Vitor!

--Gigio 04:30, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oi, Gigio! Sorry for the delayed response: I just saw this comment. We are in fact coming to Curitiba on the evening of the 27th and talking with Positivo early on the 28th. If you and any other community want to meet for lunch on the 28th, that would be great! Jwild 01:17, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
