Please add [[betawiki:]] and/or [[beta:]] with http://nike.users.idler.fi/betawiki/$1 URI.
Reason: Test platform for localization of the MediaWiki interface.
Thanks. Danny B. 14:56, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

FlyerWiki ist a Wiki about Airlines. All Information on seat pitch, frequent flyer programs and travel classes.

I could not check recentchanges to see how frequently updated this is, nor could I get a good feel for how big this wiki is. But I'm not sure I see this as hugely general interest and barring more info, I'd oppose adding this at this time. ++Lar: t/c 02:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for reviewing my Wiki. The English site has 3,154 Pages. The German site has 3.354 Pages. FlyerWiki is only 1/2 year old and its steadily growing. But I really cant compete with big Wikis with lots of different content. Our content is just for peoble who want more information on flying. But thank anyway for having a look at the site and giving your feedback. Greetings from Germany --84.154.209.32 10:11, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Could you give an example article or 2 where links currently exist to this wiki? That might help justify including it. Thanks! ++Lar: t/c 15:20, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Im sorry for the late response. If I should be honest, I didnt expect an answer. At the moment thers a new link at Etihad Airways and thats an good example because FlyerWiki has much more information on this topic. I dont work much on flyerwiki nor on wikipedia, because Im just the Admin of the site. But my users would be verry happy if it would work but no tears if it doesnt. Thanks a lot again for the time you spend on these things. --Benutzer:Andrew 84.154.231.179 13:12, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

I got a chance to look at this again and I support including it. I will add it if consensus remains, or if no one else speaks up, next time I pass through the file. ++Lar: t/c 01:06, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

There being no objections, was added. Done ++Lar: t/c 02:46, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Monstropedia

closed: - was done, per Thunderhead and Herby

Please add Monstropedia: prefix for http://www.monstropedia.org/?title=$1 . This site is the largest encyclopedia about monsters and we have 2500 daily visitors. English only.

No reason to not accept, but I'll wait for a more experienced sysop to OK this site. Thunderhead 02:51, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Statistics:
here are 3,686 total pages in the database. This includes "talk" pages, pages about Monstropedia - the largest encyclopedia about monsters, minimal "stub" pages, redirects, and others that probably don't qualify as content pages. Excluding those, there are 877 pages that are probably legitimate content pages. 731 files have been uploaded. There have been a total of 1,433,625 page views, and 8,933 page edits since the wiki was setup. That comes to 2.42 average edits per page, and 160.49 views per edit. The job queue length is 0. User statistics There are 823 registered users, of which 3 (or 0.36%) are Sysops.
seems fairly active although 800 content pages is not a lot. 2500 visits a day is good, there are some already in (not justification of course) that get far less visits a day. I'd probably add it I think. ++Lar: t/c 01:39, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I can see no reasons to not add this if that helps? --Herby talk thyme 12:48, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Done was added. ++Lar: t/c 02:48, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Google Define

closed: - No objections raised, was done

  • Wiki format: [[GoogleDefine:Term]]
  • Interwiki Link: http://www.google.com/search?q=define%3A$1
  • Justification: Google offers a quick way to look up the definition of a word or phrase, which can serve as great way to learn what an unknown word or term means. This is a useful extension of the current Google interwiki link prefix.

Wiki Spot

closed: - done with two level syntax to be supplied by users

This appears to have been around a while, and hosts a fair bit of content for a number of different "subwikis" each of which can be viewed as a separate site. I felt a bit lost since it either isn't MediaWiki or it hides it very very well. It says the code is free but I on a cursory search could not find it. Since it's multilevel do we need to talk through whether we need a two level scheme ala Wikia? I think we do need more eyes looking at this one before we rush in and give it a prefix but my gut says we should, just not sure of the details yet. Other thoughts? ++Lar: t/c 01:49, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Here's information on our sources -- we use a custom-developed wiki engine that we call Sycamore, which is a distant fork of MoinMoin. I believe that the "multi-"level" schema would be ideal in our case, and the url format I provided will support it E.g. http://wikispot.org/?action=gotowikipage&v=davis:Dogs corresponds to [[wikispot:davis:Dogs]]. I'm not sure how Mediawiki does this, but I think it will probably work when the url is added to the map. Best, PhilipNeustrom
If you can take one value this should be straightforward enough. Let's do it that way. Wikispot: maps to http://wikispot.org/?action=gotowikipage&v=$1 Your users will need to supply a two level value (wiki:article)... ++Lar: t/c 02:55, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Homowiki.de

closed: - not done, stale request

Link is:

  • [[Homode:Article name]]
  • [[Homo-de:Article name]] or

Points to:

Homowiki see itself now as a extension to the German Wikipedia. In Homowiki are

  • informations about persons, songs, organisations, citys, countrys ore other topics
  • wich are not presentable in the wikipedia because w:en:Wikipedia:No original research or other reasons
  • complete articles which are not relevant for German Wikipedia (very strict-relevance-criterias)
  • thematic-specific extensions to de:WP, those are not so detailed presentable there.

Also other Wikiprojects (i.e. with biographies of homosexual or homo-friendly people or city-wikis with Gay Villages) can link to the spezific content. It is a new project, but daily comes new users an it goes on. --Fg68at 01:33, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

In contrast to wikipedia the possible reasons of the phenonena of homophobia could be discussed without any higher-level sources (secondary or tertiary sources). This homowiki could be used for discussing and theory-finding (what is not the place for the wikipedia) about this phenomena. -- Purgatorium999 19:34, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

One of the ones that has been sitting a while. I looked at this one a few months back. I didn't at that time think it was very big/general interest yet but I'd urge someone else to give a second opinion, this has been here 9 months, we should act on it. However if no one says anything after a while I'll close it as not done. ++Lar: t/c 00:48, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

DC Animated Universe Wiki

closed: - Wikia wiki, does not need separate prefix

  • Wiki format: [[DCAU:Article name]]
  • Linking to: http://dcanimated.wikia.com/wiki/$1
  • Reasoning: This is a sister project to the DC Database Project focusing on the various animated series produced with DC characters from 1992 through 2006. Most of the articles compliment existing articles within Wikipedia, so having the wikia within the map would be a useful tool. - J Greb 23:45, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
As a conventional wikia wiki, can't this nicely done wiki use the wikia prefix? Oppose adding pending further explanation. ++Lar: t/c 01:36, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Not done As a Wikia wiki, this does not need a separate prefix. ++Lar: t/c 03:05, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Power Rangers Wiki

closed: by Herby

Could you add a powerrangers: prefix for http://www.prwiki.info/?title=$1 . Especially in the English Wikipedia are many articles about fictional characters of this series and on most wikipedias are at least 12 pages for every season. It be usefull to have a direct prefix for it. The www.prwiki points to a language selection page, were currently all pr wikis are listed. A prefix on this domain would be my preferred suggestion, English and Polish interwiki links aren't necessary, because they are hosted on wikia. So i would like to get a interwiki for all languages or/and a prefix for the German (http://de.prwiki.info/wiki/$1) and Francais (http://fr.prwiki.info/wiki/$1). --84.141.95.79 13:12, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Another one that has sat for a while, more eyes needed. I got very confused because the different langs are hosted in different ways. The interface from the main multilang page is somewhat different for different langs. Stats for de (via google translation and some fixup):
Site statistics There are altogether 2,280 pages in the data base. That includes discussion pages, power Rangers Wiki namespace, small pages, redirect and other pagess, which possibly are not real content. Excluding these there are 1,162 that are likely to be content pages. Altogether 567 files were uploaded. Altogether there were 179,016 page views and 5,372 edits since power Ranger Wiki was founded. that is an average of 2.36 edits per page and 33.32 views per page result.
So I dunno. ++Lar: t/c 01:35, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Given the different language issues and the fact that there seems to be no real interest in this one it's closed as Not done --Herby talk thyme 12:47, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
