MakeRef/Fr[edit]

What happened to the /Fr version?

It's gone. -- 79.67.241.76 19:34, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It seems like the /Fr page was only a test page and thus deleted by User:PiRSquared17. Vogone talk 08:29, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I actually created it too, it was just to test how the script worked. PiRSquared17 (talk) 11:25, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
In the last few weeks MakeRef/En has been massively updated and a number of bugs and errors cleared up. If you want to make a new copy of MakeRef/En in MakeRef/Fr and start translating to French, please go ahead. -- 79.67.241.227 11:30, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bug in June 2019[edit]

There is a bug in the [https://tools.wmflabs.org/makeref/] tool as it operates today, 29 June 2019.

I've used a couple of French articles as sources today, and put in the "Translated title (where article title is non-English, provide English translation)" field both times, a field I do not usually use. Both times, the tool has provided the "reference wiki text" as |trans_title=, which has subsequently caused an error to throw when I added the wiki text to an article.

The correct syntax is, apparently, |trans-title=, not |trans_title=. Subtle-ly different. Cheers. N2e (talk) 18:08, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
