Parking[edit]

No parking at the pub itself as it's on a pedestrianised city centre street. But there are plenty of car parks around - I doubt if you'll find anything free of charge though. Bazonka (talk) 12:21, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Promoting this[edit]

Hi all,

As Mike Peel knows, I've invited a bunch of my friends to drop by via Facebook because it seems like a nice chance to catch up with people I don't get a chance to see often :)

HOWEVER it occurred to me that we're missing a trick by not inviting more people, so today I've emailed

LUU Gaming and Tech Soc

I've also tweeted someone re getting the word out to creative commons folk in the region, and the same for FLOSS UK. I will also drop a line on the Yorkhackspace mailing group and try and reach out to Keighley fab lab.

All my contacts have involved a link to the facebook event now hosted by wikimedia UK and this event page - I'm trying to make sure that for example, student groups who are more likely to sign up via facebook are engaged but the event page itself links back to here as well.

I hope this was OK. I'm super excited I can finally make a meetup and thought it was a good chance to try and boost attendance ahead of Wikimania. Any thoights about who else we could approach? Crikey! It could be a busy one. I'll leave a message on the Leeds and Yorkshire Wikiproject talk pages. Not sure who else we could ask though. My only concern is the venue which may not be big enough. We'll certainly need to reserve a table - once more people have signed up and we've got a better idea of how many people will be coming I'll give them a call.
