Talk:Requests for comment/fi.wikipedia and community action missing in problem solving

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

I don’t know if it is just me, but it is hard to decipher the meaning of some sentences in this request... Is there an original Finnish text somewhere, or was this written directly in English? --Silvonen 08:56, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This has diff-links to messages; which of them is missing? I will add. --Juhko 11:07, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment about author[edit]

fi:käyttäjä:juhko is author of this comment request. He's now blocked in Finnish Wikipedia for 4 years. He have 14 blocks in fiwiki. Juhko is »famous» vandal in fiwiki. He use very much Sock puppets (en). Please think is this request necessary. --Aku506 09:34, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My 1st block was made by one administrator vandalizing (block für removing spam from talk page),.. but _it doesn't belong to this rfc_.. targets self supported taking this on meta. Think is Ur censorship necessary. --Juhko 11:09, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I believe your past relationship with the Finnish Wikipedia does indeed belong to this rfc, as many have already questioned your motives behind creating it. --FnH 12:28, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Motives were agreement of moving on meta in fiwiki and many users repeatedly disrupting other encyclopedia contributors. What is still unclear? Btw. some fiwiki (former) admins calling other people "clowns" here doesn't help their case at all... --Juhko 12:45, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't even know I had a case. And I couldn't care less about what you think of me. This rfc is just plain pointless. Yours, the retired admin --Albval 15:25, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Rtv --Juhko 15:38, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Now I don't follow this discussion. What is your link supposed to imply? --Albval 15:46, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Juhko, several things are unclear... 1. The English used in this RFC is far from understandable. 2. I don't follow the logic behind mixing up two different issues (your and D100's personal feelings towards the admins and the dissatisfaction of some members with our Arbitration Committee). My English isn't perfect, and I make a lot of mistakes. But what D100 has written makes absolutely no sense at all. Looks like the Finnish members of Wikipedia are the only ones taking part in this fiasco, and I do hope someone will close this. FnH 08:58, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One non-Finnish speaker user here said that this rfc needs more information (diff-links, sure). I can't say anything but Your censorship tryings and disrupting in this rfc are really pathetic. Pass me diff-links which undoes my & D100a's views before You argue anymore here. Let me and World hear. --Juhko 12:21, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Vandalism and trolling accusations is the thing You have very much but no justifies..... --Juhko 12:22, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am not a moderator, nor an admin on ANY wikipedia... Please stop. FnH 21:02, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Repeatly, I never have called you as a problem user but don't start to be one. --Juhko 21:11, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Instead, I am not disappointed at all in seeing Juhko here making something constructive again instead of trolling. Keep on, we are eagerly expecting to reckognize Your new attitude in Finnish Wikipedia, too. Yours honestly --Höyhens 20:29, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Could you explain 2nd sentence, please. I didn't understand one holy word of it. --Juhko 12:04, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No. I have more interesting things to do. Bye. --Höyhens 16:32, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever has been translating these texts? They make no sense![edit]

If someone is using an automated tool (Google translations, BabelFish or anything else), please remember that Finnish is an extremely difficult language for automated translation tools to handle an that the resulting translations can be incomprehensible for even native Finnish speakers with good knowledge of English language. To put it bluntly, some of the sections here are completely destroyed by automatic translation. Even limping attempts by humans are better, so please either attempt a translation by yourself, or contact someone who can translate it for you. I'm currently without any major tasks in Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons, and can provide at least some translations if needed. I'm best contacted via my fi.wikipedia or en.wikipedia talk pages. Propose to close[edit]

I propose that this RfC should be closed until it has been properly prepared and is understandable. Preparations should be carried out in User: space or somewhere else. Pitke 10:34, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I second this proposal. Even if it made any sense, neither of these users have a case. --FnH 07:02, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I 3rd. If somebody knows how to close and archive these things in meta, please do so. --Albval 06:14, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I 4th :). The request for comment is rather absurd. --83.245.228.34 18:16, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the link to this RfC from the list of active decision-making discussions in fiwiki, since all discussion both here and in fiwiki has died out, without any progress or clarity on the matter. I strongly suggest that somebody who knows how to hande these things in meta closes and archives this discussion. --Albval 08:58, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
