Talk:Requests for new languages/Wikipedia Lower Silesian
Why isn't there any edit option for the content page? I'd like to add my point of view, as:
- Schlesisch is not a lanuage, but actually there are some different variants of middle-german (=deutsch not germanisch!) dialects (Dialekte or Mundarten), very similar to the other middle german dialects as: Alemannisch, Fränkisch, Hessisch, Schwäbisch ...
- Slask ("Oberschlesisch") is a mixture of mainly Polnish and German (its grammar seems to be polnish). I dont know why and who invented the term "Ober"schlesisch, as OS is not spoken in the mountains (that whould be Gebirgsschlesisch) - I would call it Polesisch (Polesian ;') (mixed) language (not a dialect!). OS in polnisch is "gorny slask" that literally rendered would be Bergschlesisch, but why??? 92.195.65.174 23:02, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
And indeed: some pages in the schlesian test area are not completely schlesisch, but with a lot of "normal" German words (Hochdeutsch) for all words that are missing in Schlesian, or that the author couldnt find the proper silesian equivalent for... - as for me I dislike this substitution-practice. (Except for some words that didnt exist when schlesian was still alive (before the expulsion after WW2 - as Flemmerkostla [-kåst-] or rather: Fannseer [-seä(r)]) 92.195.65.174 23:17, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
