User:Schwartz PR

It seems strange that we are told Schwartz PR has been given a unique position at Wikipedia and yet is completely inactive. Schwartz PR has announced on its user page the names of its team of contributors, but this team made only two contributions in 2006 (one of them to Schwartz PR's own user page) and has made none in 2007. Role Accounts still in use?

Role accounts for event management

On English Wikipedia there is some introductory discussion about applying a role account model to the issuance of the "account creator" userright. Right now, the conversation is only beginning, and perhaps it will not go anywhere, but I thought that I would note here that there is some beginning discussion of whether to allow role accounts on English Wikipedia for a new sort of function. Affiliate role accounts

Several affiliates seem to have created role accounts which are active on Meta: User:Wikimedia Österreich, User:Wikimedia Bangladesh, User:Wikimedia Nigeria. Was consensus established for any of these? --Yair rand (talk) 05:55, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

This question moved to Meta:Babel, where it was discovered that "the rule" about consensus was added by a now-blocked sock without discussion, and apparently without any clear basis in fact or idea of exactly who's supposed to form the alleged consensus. I've removed that.

I also removed the sentence that said that Meta-Wiki doesn't use role accounts, since the page lists multiple role accounts on this wiki. WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:57, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
