Automatic check of eligibility[edit]

Greetings. I am a candidate for the position of Steward. I have been an administrator on the English Wikipedia since 2004, but when I use the automatic "Account Eligibility" tool, it tells me that I have never been an administrator there. I'm sure it's just a data error, and en.wiki confirms by administrator status, but I'm concerned that the instructions say "If you do not meet the following prerequisites you will be automatically disqualified." I hope this won't cause problems for my candidacy. All the best, Quadell 13:45, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The tool is not correctly set up yet. I will inform Pathoschild to take care of it. There could also be a tool sever problem. -Barras 13:50, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Per Barras + Toolserver is acting weird this days... -- Dferg 13:56, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I mailed Patho. -Barras 14:06, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The tool says that I am not an administrator on the English Wikipedia, but I suspect that's because it relies on an API that doesn't provide data for the period in which I was made an admin. For instance, if you use this tool on the English Wikipedia, it shows no record of me becoming an admin, but it states "The log does not show... rights changes made prior to 24 December 2004." That information is listed in the older Beaurocrat log, which shows that I was made an admin on 16 Jul 2004. Quadell 20:03, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate Eligibility[edit]

Just wondered when the guidelines changed for becoming a steward because I feel I have become a stronger candidate than last time but the only problem is that I havent been an administrator on any project. When did this criteria change? Corruptcopper 15:59, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That is a requirement since the last election in Febuary. Best regards, Béria Lima msg 09:19, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Format of the announcement heading[edit]

According to WP:MOSNUM in the English Wikipedia, "The ordinal suffix (e.g., th) is not superscripted". I think the announcement heading ("The Wikimedia Foundation's 2nd steward election in 2011 has started. Please vote.") should follow that recommendation. It currently demonstrates how an ordinal number should not be formatted. Chris the speller 05:17, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
