Probably also so that these links appear only as small numbers between brackets withour showing the actual long bug number or whever they are on Gerrit or Bugzilla...
I had thought changing it once, but resisted to it only because these too long wikilinks were polluting more than external links with URLs shown as small integers. verdy_p (talk) 23:04, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
verdy_p is right: using external links means they appear as numbered links, which is less visually distracting, and resembles how we format sources, which they are. guillom 07:53, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
