i made some changes that while the original might be gramatically correct, its not completly right, or there is a better way of saying it. If anyone has a different opinion y might change back or discuss it. 12.217.227.180 23:28, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Lugar[edit]

:-/ Chameleon 22:36, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)
«Tampa», creo yo. Me he tomado la libertad de cambiarlo. Hajor 17:15, 14 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Tenses[edit]

Chameleon, how "acceptable" would it be to Spanish ears for have all the verbs in the preterite instead of the perfect? Are the two systems used alternatively / in parallel for texts of this type? To my colonial sensibilities, the perfect irretrievably marks it as Peninsular; would a Spaniar consider it irretrievably American if (eg) ha anunciado were changed to anunció? Hajor 17:32, 14 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Not so much American as just incorrect. One is is anunció, another thing is ha anunciado. Hoy calls for ha anunciado. In fact, anuncia might also fit. It's really not a candidate for the preterite, unlike comenzó, dijo, etc. Chameleon 19:16, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Actually, re-reading it now, the only two I'd definitely change are that "ha anunciado" in the 1st sentence (to either pres. or pret), and " Wikipedia ha ganado dos premios internacionales en 2004" (to pret.). You noticed that I did put a se fue desarrollando in. shrug Hajor

I see above that even you have managed to say he tomado rather than tomé! Chameleon 19:19, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Yeah, but it doesn't sound entirely natural to me... I think my subconscious was just falling in line with the style of the comunicado. Hajor 20:38, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Internet[edit]

  1. ¿Internet o Red Cibernética?

Chameleon 08:18, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)
