Pigs head incident[edit]

I would like to point out that the "pig's head" incident to which you refer happened in Lewiston, Maine, if my memory serves me correctly. Maine is over 2,000 km from Georgia -- it's in a completely different part of the country, and for that matter, it's really in a different part of the continent. Your characterization is like someone citing an incident in Khartoum as indicative of something that would happen in Alexandria. Atlanta, particularly Midtown Atlanta is unlike many other places in the American South, and unlike many other large cities in the U.S. in that discrimination is not as prevalent. If you're concerned about how welcoming Georgia Tech and Midtown Atlanta would be to Muslims, in particular, it is certainly worth noting that the neighborhood immediately surrounding the school, as well as the school itself, has a very large, vibrant Muslim community.
I can also tell you, in regard to airports in California, that they are a lot more...well, I can't think of a neutral or nice word to describe the way they act there. Regardless, I've been treated much better at the Atlanta airport than I ever have been at airports in California. Regardless of the otherwise "liberal" atmosphere there, their airports suck. ;) Atlanta, as the second-busiest airport in the world, typically handles things a lot better.LaMenta3 13:28, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See the google search. - FrancisTyers 18:41, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey LaMenta3, Yes, I know about the accident of the Mosque in Idaho, and the other one in Maine which seem to have had a good deal of media coverage. I was told about this GA accident by citizens -non Muslim ones actually- I did not very much care to trace it in media as I am not really after this kind of news, but the point remains that one can not raise a single accident, or few accidents across a large interval of time, and claim that this is the general ambiance of the city. Shall we? That is why you did not find my word sensible.

If you think that the accident is irrelevant just because it was in some far away state, then please reply to Bogdan, who is pointing out accidents in Sinai and South Egypt as a threat to Alexandria.:)

Well, hopefully this will not turn into a side section of bringing out side topics. I meant to point out few certain accidents, or even personal ones so that Mike realizes that it is not a way of making proper judgments. Thank you --Moushira 20:43, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do think that all these incidents are irrelevant, but all were bought up by persons other than myself. - FrancisTyers 21:29, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've refrained from replying, but I will now, to clarify that maybe I shouldn't have phrased that chat question the way I did, but I am an adult and I know how to make proper judgments, so please do not bring up my name anymore. Mike Halterman 21:25, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
