Dates and concurring events[edit]

It would be nice to make a list of other major planned events whose audience overlaps with Wikimania's so that we can choose the best dates (before it's too late). For instance: I think we usually avoid to overlap with WikiSym; this year I heard complaints because of https://desktopsummit.org/ overlapping. Nemo 09:57, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea, though I suspect the dates for such events are often determined after a Wikimania date has been selected. But I started a section for this on the main page; feel free to add to it, or adjust the formatting if you have a better idea. -Pete F 19:00, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Public meeting timings[edit]

For the 31st March, 12:00 UTC (noon) is best for the London team. EdSaperia (talk) 13:51, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bidding timeline[edit]

In relation to this change to the published timeline and the striking of unsuccessful bids, when and where will the announcement be made, please? There seems to be nothing on the blog. Thanks. -- Trevj (talk) 09:57, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen the result now. Congratulations to Hong Kong! -- Trevj (talk) 14:00, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
