Talk:Wikimedia Chapters Association/Berlin Agreement

From what I heard from the WMSE representatives, the inroductory text was not on the paper with part 2. This page should probably reflect what was actually being signed, or is the purpose something different? Ainali (talk) 21:05, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I passed the papers to Tomer. I checked my odt-file and see: first comes the phrase "We... want to lift...". Then comes part 1, then immediately part 2. In practice, there were 2 printed sheets, one for the signatures of part 1 and one for the others. The sheets were identical. Ziko (talk) 21:38, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I will scan and upload the papers. Tomer A. 14:12, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Original text[edit]

Mike, this text (with a wrong "their" instead of "his") has been signed in Berlin. Tomer Ashur is the Secretary General, I asked him directly if he accepts that, and he accepted. Ziko (talk) 21:51, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

By that time of the day I was already dying with fever, I somehow missed it but yesterday I learnt that while I was out of the room I was indeed elected as interim-SG . Indeed, that's what people have signed and should not be changed online. However, we discussed this among ourselves (the committee members) and we all see the work of the committee in the same way regardless of specific wording and titles. I'm just trying to make the note more obvious, since before it was very hidden away at the bottom. I've moved it to a hatnote at the top so that people can see it. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 10:25, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm good with the new formatting. Tomer A. Talk 10:45, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Date[edit]

The date on the documents is wrong. They were signed on Sunday, April 1, not Saturday, March 31. For historical correctness, footnotes probably need to be added to point this out, otherwise Wikipedians of the next century will be arguing about reliable sources for the correct date. Eclecticology (talk) 12:00, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure they were signed on Saturday. Tomer A. Talk 14:44, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, signed on Saturday, 31.03.2012. --Brest (talk) 14:49, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First meeting[edit]

This page states that the first meeting will be held on Wednesday July 11, but the Wikimania schedule has July 10 and 11 booked for WCA activities. Can someone tell me which is right? If it is for two days, many people may need to alter their travel/accommodation to suit. -- Chuq (talk) 01:53, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
