Editor retention and Pending Changes[edit]

Hi guys, I understand that "editor retention" is a theme for Fellows for the coming year. I'm hoping anyone who's interested will have a look at w:WT:WikiProject Editor Retention#Pending Changes. One of the things I'm hoping for is to connect up with any academics, Fellows, or other WMF people who have an interest in or have already done some research in editor retention ... it may be that you guys already have a good idea what effect certain aspects of Pending Changes have had in the past, perhaps in other contexts. Thanks. Dank (talk) 21:02, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Btw, I'm not very familiar with Meta ... if there's a more appropriate page for this request, I'll be happy to move it. Dank (talk) 21:18, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Dank. My work focuses mainly around women and Wikipedia. If you're interested in more general editor retention a good group of folks (who are not fellows) to talk to are here, at the Editor Engagement project. I know they have done extensive research into retention which has led them to start experimenting with projects. The major project myself, and Jonathan Morgan (a research fellow) have worked on is the Teahouse, and there you can find our research. SarahStierch (talk) 23:01, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks kindly Sarah, I'll follow up on those tomorrow. Dank (talk) 01:16, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, strike that, I'm going to try to get consensus at the link above as a first step. Dank (talk) 21:15, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
