[edit] About Yahoo! partnership

I just notice that "Y! Messenger Plus" plugin include shortcut and search-tools to Wikipedia (french and english) since 1 year... And available in english since 6 month. YMP project is not official, and created by Yahoo's users.

We want to include more search-features to wikimedia-projects (WikiNews, WikiBooks, etc).

The Belgian government wants to do something about the availability of Wikipedia. They have asked Belnet to facilitate us. Belnet is willing to do this.

- Availability is June 2005 but more time needed to be technically ready.

- The hardware must be paid for.

  • Trillian - An IM/IRC client which uses a static Wikipedia dump to seed its auto-linked definitions of terms entered as you chat. A surprise; no contact with active Wikipedians before or after Trillian 3 was released with this feature.
