Talk:Wikipedia Motto

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Why one "motto" ? See at the website http://www.bomis.com (some kind of webportal) At the top there is textline that is different every reload. Users can add a slogan. Something like this on wikipedia would be cool. It can work like the list of misspellings . Giskart 20:52 1 Apr 2003 (UTC)

Heck, I even wrote a PHP script that can directly read fortune files, and spit out a random fortune from inside it. See it at http://www.twoevils.org/html/files.php. --Marumari 21:25 1 Apr 2003 (UTC)

How about "Nil pavoris!" We could even translate it into English ("Don't panic!") and put it on the main page in large, friendly letters :) Grutness 06:17, 18 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I think it already has a motto: "Be Bold when editing pages" but it's not offical. --Richman271 14:19, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Veni, Vidi, Wiki![edit]

Personally I liked this one. Especially the way it would be read in English: I came, I saw, I edited! - Ambuj Saxena (talk) 18:44, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
