Due date for summit reports?[edit]

I am new here, is there any documentation about summits?

In particular, on which day of each month should reports be published here?

Thanks! Nicolas1981 (talk) 06:24, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is no due date or anything, and I personally would like to avoid any strict rules for this strictly voluntary activity. However, a natural style preference would be to provide a link to every statement you post. --Alexander (talk) 08:21, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
All three of those suggestions seem eminently sensible. --W. Franke-mailtalk 12:58, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Another question: Is the October page about what happened in October? Much of what I wrote actually happened in September. Nicolas1981 (talk) 07:01, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No, the October page describes the events since last summit, which means mostly September. --Alexander (talk) 07:28, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see you were engaged with Wikivoyage Summit page at some point and I wonder if you would be interested to have it resurected? It could be done here and/or on https://forum.movement-strategy.org where direct cross-lingual automatic translation is provided as added value! Also please consider to tag other individuals that might be interested. --Zblace (talk) 07:09, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Someone would have to invest time, and not once, but continuously, to have it resurrected. If there is someone with a long-term commitment, it would be great, but so far we did not have anyone willing to do it long-term. Ymblanter (talk) 07:33, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, but I think it needs to be more then just one person, and ideally in rotation with others. --Zblace (talk) 10:03, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I updated the page with proposal to use Forum to update each other easy and fast across languages. --Zblace (talk) 22:26, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Zblace, hi, and thank you for posting on Forum. And those who were pinged, my big Arigatow to all of your input !^o^!
Small idea here: do you mind if I push the main page, or the “entrancence page” for multilingual/translate once?
I will add a few tags, then await till it will be tweaked for translation: sectioned into sentence units.
I need to learn how to put a tab menu at the top of the page, which will be links to Wikivoyage posts you forerunners had contributed.
As a reader myself, at least a kind of index, or mapping those pages you have invested your precious time. Surely, I might put them into ja and get prepared to my future itinerary, not that soon, but a backer list item.
I’m home bound with physically weak elder families, thus armchair travel is the richest leisure I can afford or feel safe enough… and many travelers might be in similar shoes IMHO.
Can’t wait to go through such a global treasure trove! Omotecho (talk) 06:38, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Omotecho great to see your input. I just posted the first update from our Wikivoyage HBS on Forum, please check if it translates well in English and Japanese! --Zblace (talk) 12:28, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't been involved with Wikivoyage in several years (Nothing against them, just not enough time) so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. --Rschen7754 22:35, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I still edit Wikivoyage but prefer to devote my non-editing time towards Wikimedia Commons software development, hopefully other people can fill in here. :-) By the way is the "SummIt" capitalization intended? I wish the best to this initiative! Syced (talk) 05:56, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Syced capitalization is a bit random, not fully intentional, but potentially interesting lapsus? :-)

Links under en,de,fr all linking to en[edit]

Links like [[voy:|de]] link to English. How to fix it? Nicolas1981 (talk) 06:08, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Like this: [[voy:de:|de]] --RolandUnger (talk) 06:13, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
