The 2011-12 confirmation will begin on February 7, and will finish on February 27th.

The 2011-12 steward confirmations are a good opportunity to check if we are still happy with our current stewards. To make the process as smooth as possible, here is how things are organized.

To comment, please log in with an account that has edits (on any wiki) before February 1st 2011. During the 2011 elections, please mention if you are unhappy with one of the persons listed below and why. For example, you may mention inactivity. Inactive stewards, as stated in the steward policies, will lose their steward access.

At the end of the elections, the current and newly elected stewards will consider complaints left on this page, and choose to remove stewardship as necessary taking into account both the comments left by community and their own perspective and understanding of the job. All stewards will go through this process after each election.

  • Personal info: I used to be a rather inactive Steward, but in the last few months I got active especially with checkuser requests. Apart from that a little bit of action in many different Steward activities: granting sysop, bots and global-ip-exempt rights, working back deletion backlogs in small wikis, global blocking and locking, oversight actions. On a more personal level, being able to see deleted pages has enabled me to set interwiki right in cases where a page had been moved without creation of a redirect. I'm one of the oldest still participating Wikipedia editors (first edit in March 2001), and through my bot work one of the most multilingually active.

  • Personal info: As someone who was elected last year, this is my first steward confirmation. I believe I have been a sufficiently active steward this past year, promptly responding to requests on both Meta and IRC. A partial record of my steward statistics can be seen on my userpage at User:Avraham#Steward activity. I would like to continue to serve the greater wikimedia project community by continuing to volunteer as a steward for 2011. Thank you for your time and consideration.

  • Personal info: I'm not as active as I once was before I worked for the Wikimedia Foundation, and being in graduate school, don't anticipate very high activity as many other stewards. However, I will certainly avail myself as needed and participate in other steward activity, backlog cleanup, etc. I'm grateful for the trust that the community has given to me and hope to continue to be worthy of it.

  • Personal info: My general statement isn't that different from last year's : as a steward, I sometimes make a few mistakes but I think I'm not doing a bad work overall.
For those not aquainted to me yet:
    • My home wiki is frwiki, the french Wikipedia. I arrived in nov. 2004 and became a sysop there in march 2005. I also worked there as a bureaucrat for 3 years (jun 2006 - sep. 2009) but gave up the bit so I could spend more time on other things.
    • I manage a bot named Loveless (see [4] and [5])
    • I became steward at end of 2006. I don't really do steward requests on wiki but rather use my availability time to take care of the emergency people tells us of on IRC (#wikimedia-stewards). My public steward activities (everything but Oversight and Checkuser) are viewable on this page ; those local to meta (like right changes) on this one.

Steward should have gone through the normal process to implement the policy. Steward who ignored the process should be responsible to his actions and his right should be removed. – Kwj2772 (msg) 05:25, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
What else can I do to apologize after having done a mistake? Unluckily nobody is perfect and I feel very sorry when I make mistakes, but is much more important for me to be responsible to excuse them what I've done. I have not ignored the process, in fact, I didn't know it properly and so acted with best faith. It's nevertheless a shame and unluckily cannot be canged in the aftermath so I'm very sorry that I did not know the exact procedure and hereby ask again to be excused. • Oppose Oppose It seems that he/she gave/took the oversight privilage to/from his/herself on several wiki even though they looked unnecessary.--Vigorous action 10:09, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Could you please provide examples? You maybe refer to my quick additions and removal of oversight rights on several wikis. You maybe think that I could not have oversighted all needed revisions within that short time (just a few seconds). That's due to a bug (bugzilla:20954): The function of bug 20954 forces stewards to switch on global oversight rights, just to be able to review potentially oversightable edits by users whose username stewards have quickly had to hide from logs and article histories. So I could do all needed oversight actions before I had to change my rights. For transparency issues I changed my rights in the aftermath but that only takes seconds to switch on and switch off the bit. You're right, that looks a bit like not having done anything. But I can assure you that I only give myself oversight rights when it is really needed. Maybe another steward can confirm that behaviour but you can also look at my comment on this bug: “Anyone interested in fixing that bug so that stewards do not have to stay global oversights to see contributions of hidden accounts? Stewards are suppossed to change their rights because of transparency issues when doing oversight actions. Most of them still do that but we cannot control if anyone did one without changing it. That is not acceptable. So I again beg to our developers to fix that bug as soon as possible.” Kind regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 10:31, 18 February 2011 (UTC) P. S. It is ..""10:10, 28 September 2010 DerHexer (talk | contribs) changed group membership for User:DerHexer@jawiki from (none) to oversight (they have no oversights? o_O)". the one at this time.--Vigorous action 11:03, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
As per request by DerHexer I've been asked to review his actions there. In 28 September 2010 DerHexer performed oversight action to remove personal information combined with slander & abusive user name in an article, according to Oversight#Use:§1 «Removal of non-public personal information», §2 «Removal of potentially libelous information» and §4 «Hiding of blatant attack names [...]». The Japanese Wikipedia has no local oversighters and I find the oversight action according the use of the tool as I've said above. The summary could have been more descriptive but there's absolutelly no abuse here. Even if the wiki had local oversighters as per oversight policy «[s]tewards may perform local oversighting in emergencies, during crosswiki oversighting [...]». I have also been answering questions and helping in the #wikimedia-stewardsconnect IRC channel & continued doing SWMT and antispam work as in the past. Additionally I do follow and try to help in the stewards' and checkusers' mailing lists where we also receive requests. If the Wikimedia community agrees, I would like to continue serving as steward.

Atentamente, -- Dferg ☎ talk 00:21, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
In English (guess literal translation): Remove Remove It's supposed that this positions are for situations that attempt against the rules of the projects and against its integrity, no interference in accounts of global character that you catalog of "abusing" while is trying to reverse something at global level, I think you exaggerate. Neiter I like that being steward say that Magister has your "full trust" what would happen if Magister makes a mistake? you would't realize. --†Emporio2012 01:22, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Response: About your "full trust", you said that here. --†Emporio2012 01:41, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. I've already clarified on the «full trust» issue posted by you in your earlier comment and have no further comments to made there. As I've said before I'd like to know on which account(s) I've «exaggerated» so that it can be reviewed, but you've posted nothing about that yet. Would you be so kind? Thank you, -- Dferg ☎ talk 07:48, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
At least more than one have your "full trust" (I gave the link to show the context). I think by the context that it may cause also a sense of coalition between stewards (and less security for the users in the mistaken situations - professional judges were wrong in many situations, it's nothing personal -) while they should be neutral also considering the other stewards acts. You say that you don't find this trust related but, you say it in the "confirm process" of the stewards (not in their users pages i.e.). This made me think that. If you consider it's a falacy I suppose is because you refuse my comment. --†Emporio2012 07:56, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

And the full context of that quote is this. As mentioned on that page by a few stewards, I did not break any policy. You can say I was a bit less active than before (even edit-wise), but please don't quote out of context. --FiliP ██ 08:27, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

  • Personal info: Last year I haven't been as active as the year before, but I do feel that I've made a contribution as a steward. My work was mostly concentrated on the request pages, but I could also be found on IRC doing SWMT work. To be honest I don't expect being able to spend much more time on Wikimedia in the future. Nevertheless, I'd like to remain a steward and help out whenever possible.

Note that during the elections I will have limited internet access.

  • Helpful, clueful, thoughtful. I hope that sometime we'll have enough stewards to force each one of them (by means of lack of things to do) to have some spare time and to avoid wikistewardshipholism. --Nemo 22:37, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
Well, there's more to it than that. I'm finding myself being "used" to having steward tools. When you've got buttons and the sort of ... well, global mandate, I suppose ... that many stewards do, it's possible to do some quite out-of-policy things and nobody calls you on it. Tyciol, for instance... I was dubious about the lock and expected there to at least be some public discussion on if it were appropriate, and to an extent I tried to encourage it, but none was forthcoming. It bothered me that I could lock someone's account on my say-so that there were a number of complaints and nobody would actually question me on it other than the blockee, and that only in passing.
That's not the sort of power I'm comfortable with anyone having, really. Trust is a wonderful thing, of course, but there needs to be some sort of verification and questioning that go along with it. I tend to think that the stewards are a fairly transparent bunch (especially compared to many other groups online), but I don't want to hold the hammer so long that everything looks like a nail ready to be flattened. Having read opposes on other confirmations many a time, people go absolutely bonkers over things that are typically trivial compared to the actual abuse that a rogue steward could actually perpetrate.
Requests for comment/Minimum voting requirements is really worthy of some attention and making into a firm policy. So many people think that if they get four or five friends on a project, they can simply make themselves all admins and/or bureaucrats and run it the way they'd like and chase off anyone who objects. That's very un-wiki and not the sort of behavior we should tolerate, much less encourage from the way the system is implemented now. Also, Requests for comment/Dispute resolution committee and Requests for comment/Global requests committee could use some attention.
I'd like to thank you all for the kind words so far, of course, and the trust that has been shown to me in previous elections/confirmations. I only hope that I've been more of an asset than obstacle, even for those who I was in opposition with at times. Kylu 03:50, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Thank you so much for this message, where you highlight the most important issues around.
It's interesting to see someone leaving because of a lack of drama. ;-) Seriously, though, it's true that our admins etc. are often left a bit alone in their decisions and we should support each other more, at least for some difficult cases; on small wikis it's difficult because there are few users, but on Meta we should find a way to do so, although I don't have a solution apart from your exemplary transparency. With regard to Tyciol, it's a tough topic; I didn't like much that lock and especially its reasons, and I said so (if I remember correctly), but actually I don't care much about en.wiki and their USA-centric puritan policies (if any): the only thing people cared about here was to tag the proposed policy as such [7] [8] and I'm sure that someone would complain, if you ever got so used to the tools as to lock other users (and especially non en.wiki users) according to that non-policy. I had two stewards that I talked to who both disagreed with your action and said you refused to talk to them. Stewards must follow policy and cannot make up new ones. Policy clearly said 7 days minimum to discuss and it was clear that there was a unanimous agreement to throw out the vote based on impropriety. It doesn't matter how many people you say agree with you, you have no right to act that way as a Steward. You do not make up policy or act when you have no authority to act. Comment Comment Canvassing (to try) to have a block lifted? --M/ 23:38, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Ktr101 is a long time and respected user. Do you have evidence to support this accusation? Tiptoety talk 01:01, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Actually, I am in no way canvassing an unblock request because this is the last place to do it. In reality, the way that you are handling this is another reason to oppose you. The block was wrong and I saw his talk page when someone else showed me it just so you know. Tiptoety's difference below is also in bad taste. You do not modify a block after the fact just to suit a point because then it not only puts you more in the wrong, but also weakens your argument that you were first making. It is because of this that I am not changing my vote because your actions are further strengthing my views. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 02:37, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Ktr101 intervened where Ottava was concerned, on Wikiversity, as an SPA. Ottava has acknowledged canvassing on IRC, and it's been possible, on Wikiversity, to identify floods of !votes that appeared immediately after Ottava filed otherwise obscure processes. From the timing, the Ktri101 !vote is explicitly related to the M7 interaction on Talk:Ottava Rima, a few minutes before, and it is practically certain this was because of IRC with Ottava. Respected users are not immune to being canvassed. After edit conflict with above, I see "someone else showed it to me." In other words, he was canvassed, but by a presumed friend of Ottava, not by Ottava himself. --Abd 02:48, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
What the hell? I'm not a single purpose account and please don't ever accuse me falsely of something like that again. It is not like I just did nothing and suddenly popped up to give an opinion on him. I have done edits there as I have seen fit, with really no rhyme or reason behind them. Additionally, no one has ever said that we cannot vote soon after any sort of interaction anywhere. I also have his talk page watchlisted, so it would've eventually occured that I would have seen this in a day or so. I just happened to get a suggestion in a chat with another friend that basically said, "Look what happened to Ottava. That is funny..." I'm not going to contest this further as this will just end up with more useless bashing. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 03:20, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
I don't think the argument is that you're a SPA in general, Kevin, but that your attention has been drawn to such things via IRC (and that you'd made the choice which I refused when approached with regard to the wikiversity issue, which was to comment on a project which you are not familiar with.) sonia 05:17, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
  • Remove Remove In view of their comment right above, in fact. Guido den Broeder 23:43, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Comment CommentBlocks (or unblocks) here are a matter of meta admin, I think. Should not confused with steward policies, there was not an emergency, nor any need to apply pressure. --M/ 23:45, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Ehm, no, thanks for pointing out exactly what is wrong in your thinking. Blocks and unblocks are a matter of the community. Users are not cattle, for administrators to do with as they please. Guido den Broeder 00:04, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
My initial suggestion to Ottava Rima was to be read as an attempt to have him reflect upon some harsh positions towards other users. The block is indeed exaggerate, but from his part the single "remove" statement is too little: in a collaborative environment the conflict level should remain as low as possible. I'd rather appreciate a somewhat remissive request, instead I think that is quite unpolite to use actions in the intervening time of the reconfirmation page for trying to set a point. --M/ 00:06, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
In elections, it is important that existing harsh positions get known, so that OTHERS may reflect on them. This growing habit of attacking any opposing voice needs to stop, I've seen it lead to the downfall of several projects already. Guido den Broeder 01:07, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Harsh opinions are fine in elections, as long as the people back up their statements so others can make their own mind up. Otherwise it just becomes a he said she said. Like everything in the wiki world, if you can't source what you are saying, you shouldn't be saying it. -Djsasso 01:09, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Let's test that. Give me a link to the rule that says so. And next explain why you made all kinds of ugly comments here and then refused to provide diffs. Guido den Broeder 01:15, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
  • I am actually on the wall here. M7, altering the block as a way to support it is in bad taste to me and an inappropriate use of the block function. Instead of escalating the situation (which an additional block did), you should have been finding other ways to deal with the matter. Indef blocking an already indef blocked user changes nothing in their supposed "poor behavior." Tiptoety talk 01:00, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Actually, Tiptoety, M7 reduced the block from "infinite" to "indefinite." There is a difference, see [9]. He was clearly attempting to negotiate an early end. However, I don't see that he -- or you -- have been aware of Requests for comment/User:Ottava Rima. When the community allows such massive disruption to continue without addressing it, eventually someone will address it, and it may easily seem excessive. --Abd 02:28, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Hm, you raise an interesting point. I didn't notice the change from "infinite" to "indefinite." Though, I'm interested if that was the primary intent of the block alteration. Tiptoety talk 02:36, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, Tiptoety. M7 was attempting to negotiate unblock conditions, which was quite proper. My guess is that M7 began to smell a serious rat, and, in giving up on negotiation, wanted to be consulted before an unblock. WizardOfOz was in over his head, and had just caved on Guido den Broeder. Ottava is not some newbie, and his behavior is not ordinary "poor behavior." See the RfC. --Abd 02:59, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

  • Personal info: Hello. Before anything, to clear any confusion, yes I'm the user who used to go by the name "drini", but I changed it due to off wiki reasons.

I've served community another year as steward and humbly request your comments about my steward work™ (and as always I also welcome comments about my other duties, feel free to drop them in my user talk to keep things organized).

To those reviewing my work this year I acknowledge I was less active over 2010 than previous, and the reason is that I'm on the final track of my PhD work and that sadly took wiki time away. However I should be more active soon as I close that cycle. I also had a few of bloopers mostly due to the username change (after many years the brain gets hardwired) but I've got things sorted out now.

I'd be thrilled to listen your recommendations and comments but mostly I'd be honored if you would grant me your patience and trust for another year. es:Magister Mathematicae 00:26, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep Keep. A good steward, but not perfect. The Stewards policy says that the stewards should avoid conflict of interests. Conflict of interests may not occur only on a homewiki. If an user is a sysop of a project we can conclude that he has a stronger connection with this project than the others. Somebody just tell me if I'm saying anything wrong but a steward shouldn't perform any steward action on projects where he has this kind of connection to avoid conflict of interests. He is a sysop on es.wikiquote, es.wiki, es.wikinews and es.wikibooks. Nevertheless he performs stewards actions in these projects (es.wikiquote, es.wikinews, es.wiki and with the previous name es.wiki, es.wikiquote, es.wikinews, es.wikibooks). In my opinion, he fails on this part of the steward policy, because if it says "avoid" you should "avoid".” Teles (Talk @ C G) 01:20, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm also a enwiki sysop, while I don't consider it anymore a homewiki (I quit editing there as I became steward). I have sysop on many wikis due to historial reasons but fact is that I'm inactive in pretty much all those wikis you mention. But I agree with you, I'm no perfect and certainly don't claim to be. I can provide explanations on why I did those changes I did, and certainly there's a remark about non controvertial actions on the guidelines...es:Magister Mathematicae 01:33, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick response. I honestly think you are a good steward; that is why I hope you {{keep}}. I would never demand you to be perfect, since nobody is, but there is some actions that can be reviewed. For example, this is also a non controversial request, since there is a community decision, but the steward preferred to request other steward to do something that he could do. I'm not saying that you did anything wrong with that actions. I'm sure they were all done according to the rules, but conflict of interest is something that should be avoided when there is the minimum possibility we think on it. I admit the possibility that I'm wrong, since I am very less experienced than you. Sorry if I am, but that is my opinion. By the way, if you are inactive as a sysop on those projects, why do you still have the flag? Thanks again.” Teles (Talk @ C G) 01:57, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Because some projects don't desysop due to inactivy and.. who knows? some day it may be useful to have the bit in order to help on something they may need. es:Magister Mathematicae 02:21, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Es.wikipedia is between the projects I mentioned above. Are you inactive on es.wiki too? You have some flags there and your contributions and sysop logs are very recent with more than 2000 edits last month. Wouldn't it be better to ask another steward to perform steward's actions on this project? Regards.” Teles (Talk @ C G) 09:25, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
No, I'm not, but I'd be glad to explain you any particular entry you may have doubts about, in my talk page (although there is only one instance over whole past year (2010) and this one I'll explain here: there was some task to be done on eswiki relating deletion of tousand of pages, which was flooding RC. We were looking for a solution and I was doing a quick check to see if the flood flag would help (therefore first changes on [10]), and then I compared it with the actual bot flag. Local bureaucrats cant' set flood flag, by the way. After seeing that flood flag wouldn't work but bot flag did, I immediately removed the rights. The 2 entries on [11] for 2010 correspond to the same issue (notice the same date and timing). The explantion is that I just had changed my username and I was used to the earlier one, so by inertia I wrote my earlier username and it was until I did it I realized I made a mistake. I also made a reference to this memory slips on the opening text for this page.
Now, I think the page you quote so much states: stewards should use their judgement to avoid conflict of interests, and in every case you point I've exercised my judgement not to be in conflict of interests (which is much more than being careful "not to look in COI") , I've never been involved in controversial steward actions on my home (or any other wiki for that matter) where it could be argued that using my steward tools was in conflict of interests.
In that regard, I've been much more careful than the "follow-the-letter-not-the-spirit" than you think. Stewards could use their tools in COI on any wiki if they're reckless and judgement is necessary to avoid it anywhere. The active wiki thing is a rule of thumb (very sensible) but bottom line is: judgement is more than automatic rule following.
I really thank you for assuming good faith on me anyd my judgement, and anytime you have questions about why I do something (steward or no steward related), feel free to drop me a message and I'll be willing to explain myself. I'm not the kind of users that denies or hides things, nor the kind of user that refuses to explain misunderstandings. es:Magister Mathematicae 15:54, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

You're right. My apologies for poor judgement. I understand you don't trust me, I appreciate you letting me know. es:Magister Mathematicae 08:02, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
A steward is one who is supposed to be above all petty politics, a reserved servant who is trusted to objectively act. It is a given up of a lot of freedom for some power as that is the only way to ensure that the power is used properly. One has to choose between the two and that is all that is really at issue. The more authority you have, the more intimidating your actions can become, and intimidation is the number one way to destroy open communication and collaboration. I hope you understand that. Ottava Rima (talk) 16:30, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
For the record, you have a profund misunderstanding about wiki roles. A steward position is not a power position, au contrarie, it has a lot of restrictions. You're conflating ability with power. I do have the ability to lock an account, but it's not a power I have nor it gives me more authority.
It's misunderstandings like yours that cause some users to become involved in power plays or games, furthering the misconception that a 'service position is an authority one.
The steward role is a pure service one, and more so the fact that the mantra is "stewards don't decide" (unlike other roles like bureaucrats or sysops where they have more flexibility in criterion application)
Finally, stewards don't stop being regular users, it's a fallacy to pretend that stewards only act a stewards and nothing else. That's why I leave quite clear on the opening that this is about my steward work (and not, for example the way I close a deletion on a particular wiki).
Howver, you don't trusting me is a perfectly valid reason for your comment (remembering we're not voting on this page, I avoid calling it "your vote"), I just want to point a misunderstaning and flaw in your reasoning. es:Magister Mathematicae 19:40, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

I'm asking for confirmation of my permissions because I would like to continue serving Wikimedia community in the steward role. Please feel free to comment. Your feedback will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, --Mercy 09:36, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

I had to wait very long, after one week I reminded him and only after that my "case" was solved. My last inquiry has actually been solved by itselfs (I used also my sysop tools) but he never answered me. • Hmm! You changed mine, rohit and bhavani gautum user group to temporary admin inspite of 5-7 votes in favour.I was agree for not granting bureaucrat access because atleast some admins should be there before we promote any body as bureaucrat on a wiki. But temporary access is granted only when we have no vote in vaour or 1 or 2 vote in vaour. We provided consensus link as required but you simply took your own decision to grant us a temporay adminship without any policy of such kind.--Mayur (talkEmail) 18:11, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
        • two of those have 4 votes and just one with 5 votes, there's no policy about the number of the votes, but it's clear that when a project is too small or has too few active users it's "advisable to grant temporary rather than permanent rights" as steward handbook said.--Nick1915 - all you want 19:01, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
          • Then why your steward hanbook was not followd for users who have already been granted permanent sysops and bureaucrat flag on these small projects. This permanent sysops and bureacrats are inactive since 2-3 years. Whether it is steward handbook or anything else all users should be treated under same behaviour And hi wiktionay is not a small project it has 4 admins and one bureaucrat and some active users too.Your act simply violated the fact that Stewards simply work on commnuity consensus--Mayur (talkEmail) 19:38, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
            • Sorry, it's not the same thing, "historical" sysops or 'crats were flagged in a time when policies weren't so clear (or didn't exist yet); now we're obliged to follow actual policies and it's not up to us to act toward them -old sysops- without a local agreement.--Nick1915 - all you want 19:59, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
              • Still you are not able to justify because as per your statement "now we're obliged to follow actual policies and it's not up to us to act toward them -old sysops- without a local agreement" and You are treating hi wikitionary a small wiki project which have already a very unactive bureaucrat and 3 very inactive sysop. You were in so hurry to grant 6 month tempory access that you also mentioned wrong refernce in edit summory of my right change by you.finally it is very wrong to grant temporary acces for 3 months without any vote and temporay access for only 6 month with 5 votes in a project having bureaucrat.Really a very frustrating action taken by you on behalf of your own opinion--Mayur (talkEmail) 18:28, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

However, I tend to trust Lar's reading of high wikipolitics. But (again), I'm not entirely sure what that has to do with the buttons, so I feel I shouldn't support because I'm not sure what it has to do with the buttons. I have plenty of secondary accounts which have edited since then (and contributed nicely to the project). Why can't these by counted? It's not my fault I was banned. Peter Damian 21:59, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
I'd personally support your participation by taking the aggregate totals across the accounts, yes... that's not what the tool does though. Can you supply a list of accounts that are known to be yours along with edit counts, sufficient to satisfy the 600 edit and 50 recent edit requirement??? As for "not my fault I was banned", this probably isn't the place to debate that assertion. Note that I have no particular standing to enforce or waive policy. ++Lar: t/c 22:27, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep Weak keep, in good faith - Dan has been recently out, I think that he's currently busy but I think he will return. I know the policy says he doesn't meet the threshold for automatic removal but I don't think that removes inactivity as a completely valid reason for opposition (I'm happy to debate it again but I had quite a bit of that debate last year if anyone wants to read :) ). • Keep Keep Kleuske 13:54, 22 February 2011 (UTC) Given his recent performances on the dutch wiki, especially secondguessing the local mods, this person does not seem to have what it takes. Bitching and whining on my Userpage did not help.
    • My apologies for accidentally removing votes. Kleuske 17:29, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
    • Changed vote. Somewhat teethgrindingly but a) he's too damn useful in this role b) everybody's allowed a screw up sometimes. Given the circumstances, i'd have blown my gaskets, too. Kleuske 18:16, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
