UseModWiki is a perl-based wiki clone. Originally the English Wikipedia and other first Wikipedias were run on UseModWiki. They were moved to custom MediaWiki software to handle the large page load and gain other wacky features.

UseMod is pretty nice for a smaller installation, and doesn't require a database & whatnot.
