Currently, I am a PhD student at the Carnegie Mellon University. My research interest is online communities. The explosive growth of online communities including Wikipedia and Facebook opens up exciting opportunities and challenges for learning how online groups work, what factors lead groups to succeed and fail, and how people interact and coordinate with one another. Kraut, Aniket Kittur, Jenny He, Amy Zhang) and I are planing to do experiments to investigate the effects of sending messages in participation in Wikipedia.
