Greetings from Bali. The "girl" at right is an Ogoh-ogoh, a papier-mâché and wood puppet built on Bali for the New Year Holiday Nyepi. They are primarily constructed by young Balinese men and frequently depict caricatures of the many tourists. On the evening before Nyepi they are paraded about and then burnt. Nyepi is known as the day of silence.

An aeroplane crash-lands on a coral island and the survivors, a party of schoolboys, find themselves cast-away in ideal surroundings. At first they treat the situation with enthusiasm and all goes well. But their idyllic existence is threatened, not by any external danger, but by their own inner natures and desires.
