Glad you found my userpage on metawiki. My home-wiki is on nl-wikipedia. I have been active on the Dutch Wikipedia since February 2006. In the beginning I made some small adjustments and corrections, but since early 2007 I have been involved in fighting vandalism. First as a normal user, but since December 2007 as a administrator. Apart from that I'm one of the OTRS Administrators, and a member of the board of the Dutch Wikimedia chapter: Wikimedia Nederland.
I think it's very important to familiarize new users with Wikipedia and sister-projects and to make them feel at home. Sometimes we tend to forget that we all started as novices and that we too had to climb up an ivory tower. And with that we can easily lose our temper and respond in a less civil way as we should. With a little empathy we can get a long way. That's not just important on Wikipedia itself but also in the process of familiarizing new OTRS volunteers.
It's bound to happen that I make mistakes, obviously I'm human too. Please do not hesitate with correcting me, as we can all learn from mistakes made by me, you, or any other user.
