I started as a Wikipedian, being mostly active on the Ukrainian Wikipedia (where I am also a patroller).

What I do here

Translations. I translate English->Ukrainian and sometimes Russian->Ukrainian
(content) Writing and improving articles for Wikipedia and other projects.
(organizational) Developing the Wikimedia Ukraine chapter. I am the initiator of creation and the Executive Director of the Wikimedia Ukraine.

Participation in the Wikimedia projects

I am an initiator, one of the founders, board member and executive director of the Wikimedia Ukraine, the bureaucrat and the main contributor to the Wikimedia Ukraine website.
In three years of my activity in Ukrainian Wikipedia I became No 18 most active editor in the 8 years history of Ukrainian Wikipedia, made about 39000 edits, created about 1200 new articles.
For Wikimedia Ukraine I developed a data base with more then 500 e-mails of journalists.
In 2011 I have written and disseminated 3 press-releases and organized a press-conference which as their result have had about 70 positive publications in web medias, about ten 3-4 minutes long video clips on 4 national TV channels in prime time (see http://uk.wikipedia.org/wiki/ВП:ППВ - Wikipedia Media Coverage),
launched Wikimedia Ukraine Weblog (see http://wikimediaukraine.wordpress.com/ ),
organized wiki-meetup with about 50 participants on January 15 in Kyiv National University.
Successfully negotiated transmission to public domain more then 300 biographies of scientists - academicians from Ukrainian Academy of Science of Higher School.
I took active part in translations to Ukrainian messages for fundraiser.

I have launched 3 MediaWiki based websites - uk.compu.wikia.com, lawiki.org.ua, movahistory.org.ua.
Take part in developing and lobbying of initiatives to incorporate Free Licenses and Freedom of Panorama to Ukrainian Civil Code.
