My real name is Юрій Пероганич in Ukrainian. I have been a practicing (volunteer) Wikipedian for many years; my home wiki is the Ukrainian Wikipedia, but I make occasional contributions on the Polish and English Wikipedias as well.
I have a strong background in software engineering, international law and an abiding interest in literature, history and open access.
I am a General Director of the Association of IT Enterprises of Ukraine — a «chamber of commerce» for member companies.

I am an initiator and one of the founders of the Wikimedia Ukraine. I used to serve as its Board Member and Executive Director (since 2009 to 2013).
No 18 most active editor in the history of Ukrainian Wikipedia, made about 60000 edits, started about 2000 new articles.
Former Press-secretary – Head of the WMUA Press-Service, administrator and major publisher at WMUA weblog, see http://wikimediaukraine.wordpress.com/, organised several press-conferences, dozens of press-peleases. Monitoring media coverage.
Negotiated transmission to public domain several books
Take part in developing and lobbying of ongoing initiatives to incorporate Free Licenses and Freedom of Panorama to Ukrainian Civil Code.
