About Me (Off-wiki)

Well, at long last, I decided that I should perhaps, you know, put something about me on the user page. The important things to know, I suppose, are that I'm in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA with a strong interest in politics and government.

I'm a Research Associate for a regional program evaluation firm based in Tulsa. I work mainly with social service organizations who have state or federal grant money.

Also for work part time, I am a church musician, serving as the organist for a Presbyterian church near the campus of the University of Tulsa.

On Wiki

On Wiki, I can usually be found on en:Wikipedia. I tend to focus on a couple of things - correcting spelling errors using Auto Wiki Browser and reverting vandalism (for which I usually use Vandal Proof and Twinkle). Generally speaking, I tend to keep a low profile and be rather gnomish. I am an administrator for en:Wikipedia.

In 2007, I was a member of the Election Steering Committee for the Wikimedia Foundation [1]. As an election steering committee member, I did not take a position in the board elections, and did not support any candidate in this election (nor did I vote). In 2008, I was named by the board as an election inspector on March 15 [2]. The 2008 steering committee can be found here.

You can find me on en:Wikipedia as Philippe. On IRC, my username is usually Philippe|Wiki. I am a sysop on en:Wikipedia, and a temporary sysop (election issues only) on Meta. Philippe 03:45, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
