Deletion Tags[edit]

Hi Acather, you recently tagged a few files for deletion, I wanted to point out that "beat jimmy" images were uploaded recently as part of the fundraising 2010 campaign and might be important, I am not sure but I think the foundation might have the copyright to it. Also, you tagged a few PDF files from chapters, they might be important reports or projects that might link to something or be important, perhaps an RFD or looksuseless tag might be better fits. Thanks. Theo10011 18:14, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Theo, I am tagging files for deletion that lack source and or license information as part of this. With regards to the Fundraiser images, they could be, but the uploader needs to add a tag and state the source to prevent copyright problems. The page linked above also explains why I am doing this. And with regards to the reports, I am not trying to be disruptive, and udnerstand what you are saying, but they need copyright info just like every other file. Thanks, Acather96 talk 18:18, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Incidentally, I have also been doing similar work over this weekend, I have categorized and tagged hundreds of files since yesterday. I have actually been over those that was the only reason I commented. I only knew about the Beat Jimmy images for certain because they would have been uploaded last week or very recently and might be important in the short term. As for the chapter reports, projects etc. I was only suggesting a RFD tag before tagging it for speedy to give the chapter people time to comment, Meta generally has an inclusionist policy for content like that.
