Hi Arnaugir! If you recall, the matter was addressed here, in the first point. Does this help? I was (and AffCom, for that matter) under the impression that that was what was going to be done? Thanks, I was just going over them. ;-) I will ping AffCom about it too, the more eyes the better! Meanwhile, recalling our conversation from over a week ago, it looks like there is not too much bureaucracy involved in modifying the bylaws, which is just great (if you need support for the fee, do let us know). Marcar pàgines

Hola Arnau, veig que ets Translator Administrator. Podries marcar per traduir les pàgines que falten de wikiArS a outreach? outreach:WikiArS/Ask4img, outreach:WikiArS/Schools. D'altra banda, saps si hi ha un lloc on demanar manualment la traducció, avisar que hi ha aquestes pàgines per traduir, demanar per llengües en concret (neerlandés, alemany, francès, esperanto...) o per demanar traducció de plantilles que fan servir la Translate Extension o per traduir des de llengües que no siguin l'anglès, com el català per exemple? Strategy project & greetings

Hello Arnau, that's a nice photo on your userpage now :)

I'm returning to the strategy project idea. As you were interested in the past, would you please take a look at the updated page and share your thoughts?

Feel free to ping others who might be interested, from sister projects and smaller languages. People who helped out with the smaller language efforts that WM:CAT has helped organize would be excellent voices to get involved.

I'd also appreciate your thoughts on how we can have a more meaningful multilingual discussion: it's not enough to have a mostly-english page where a few people post in other languages. What do you do for your own multilingual events?

Superprotect letter update

Hi Arnaugir,

Along with more hundreds of others, you recently signed Letter to Wikimedia Foundation: Superprotect and Media Viewer, which I wrote.

Today, we have 562 signatures here on Meta, and another 61 on change.org, for a total of 623 signatures. Volunteers have fully translated it into 16 languages, and begun other translations. This far exceeds my most optimistic hopes about how many might sign the letter -- I would have been pleased to gain 200 siguatures -- but new signatures continue to come.

I believe this is a significant moment for Wikimedia and Wikipedia. Very rarely have I seen large numbers of people from multiple language and project communities speak with a unified voice. As I understand it, we are unified in a desire for the Wikimedia Foundation to respect -- in actions, in addition to words -- the will of the community who has built the Wikimedia projects for the benefit of all humanity. I strongly believe it is possible to innovate and improve our software tools, together with the Wikimedia Foundation. But substantial changes are necessary in order for us to work together smoothly and productively. I believe this letter identifies important actions that will strongly support those changes.

Have you been discussing these issues in your local community? If so, I think we would all appreciate an update (on the letter's talk page) about how those discussions have gone, and what people are saying. If not, please be bold and start a discussoin on your Village Pump, or in any other venue your project uses -- and then leave a summary of what kind of response you get on the letter's talk page.

Finally, what do you think is the right time, and the right way, to deliver this letter? We could set a date, or establish a threshold of signatures. I have some ideas, but am open to suggestions.

Traducción de Iberoconf 2014

Hola, Arnau. Realicé cambios importantes a la página principal sobre Iberoconf 2014, los que implican una traducción al inglés (como debe hacerse siempre al utilizar la extensión de traducción en los proyectos Wikimedia) y la inclusión de enlaces no traducibles (por ejemplo, en la herramienta de traducción se muestra el código $amical que sirve como enlace hacia Special:MyLanguage/Amical Wikimedia).

Como resultado de los cambios, la versión en catalán ahora está desactualizada y muestra que solo está completa al 44 %. Para completarla se requerirá, en su mayoría, incluir los enlaces no traducibles. Inspire Campaign on content curation & review

I've recently launched an Inspire Campaign to encourage new ideas focusing on content review and curation in Wikimedia projects. Wikimedia volunteers collaboratively manage vast repositories of knowledge, and we’re looking for your ideas about how to manage that knowledge to make it more meaningful and accessible. We invite you to participate and submit ideas, so please get involved today! The campaign runs until March 28th.

All proposals are welcome - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Participate in the Inspire Campaign and help address harassment!

Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.

Proposals in any language are welcome during the campaign - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is appreciated, and collaboration is encouraged - your skills and experience may help bring someone else’s project to life. Community Wishlist Survey 2021: Invitation

The 2021 Community Wishlist Survey is now open! This survey is the process where communities decide what the Community Tech team should work on over the next year. We encourage everyone to submit proposals until the deadline on 30 November, or comment on other proposals to help make them better. The communities will vote on the proposals between 8 December and 21 December.

The Community Tech team is focused on tools for experienced Wikimedia editors. You can write proposals in any language, and we will translate them for you. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your proposals!

Community Wishlist Survey 2021

We invite all registered users to vote on the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey. You can vote from now until 21 December for as many different wishes as you want.

In the Survey, wishes for new and improved tools for experienced editors are collected. After the voting, we will do our best to grant your wishes. We will start with the most popular ones.

We, the Community Tech, are one of the Wikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.
