Hello. I'm so sorry, I can't operate my bot globally to update interwiki links for your bot's userpages. Editing namespace 2 (user namespace) is controversial and goes out of global bot scope, most of wikis doesn't allow this kind of edits. Multilingual wikisource bot request

Hello Avocato, I can't give the flag for redirects because the wikisourcian redirects are tricky in what i can understand, and i can't know for languages that i don't understand if it is not asked for by the people who need it. For instance: the last redirect your bot did on May 7th

was not right because Frederic Mistral is not a correct name , the name is Frédéric Mistral in French, Frederi Mistral or Frederi Mistrau in Occitan, and the linking is a complicated thing, it can't be automatic.

But an automatic welcoming might be decided, if we don't find any other solution to discourage spammers, because the welcome is the same in all languages and is easy to adapt for a very experimented bot like yours. It has remained undecided for now but it can be thought useful soon. So this is why for the time being the answer is neither yes nor no on the multilingual wikisource and we would be happy if you can wait. 1. some Admin has to unblock your bot first, it seems -jkb- used the wrong button :)

2. it should possible to mark the edits as "bot edit", what framework do you use? (see the Edit-API for a general overview, you should use the parameter "bot")

never ran a bot, but the code looks as if the botflag is automagically set. You could ask de:User:APPER, he is our bot specialist.

is it possible that you renamed your bot from GedawyBot to AvocatoBot? This may explain why your edits are not marked and the de.WP bot template claims that AvocatoBot has not bot flag. Rbrausse (talk) 18:10, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

oh, and don't hesitate to run your bot: You have a flag, the bot makes useful edits - the vandalism report was a mistake of an unexperienced "vandal hunter".
