[edit] Wikimania banner
Hey. The Icelandic on your Wikimania Stockholm banner is weird. Okkar hjörð literally means "our herd" as in a herd of animals. It makes little sense. Let me suggest Við erum sem eitt instead. Cheers. --Bjarki S 17:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Removing red links
This edit is troubling to me in five ways:
- Removing red links is generally not recommended from wikis; they are there to encourage growth
- There has already been discussion about removing them, and it was agreed to keep them
- In this particular case, the links were to cities which has suggested that they might bid, but had not posted anything yet; with open time-scales, discouraging them in this way seems odd.
- If anyone was going to do it, it certainly shouldn't be someone with a direct conflict of interest (you're involved in one bid, the red links encourage "competitors")
- You marked the edit as "minor", which, given that you were reverting a good faith edit, is clearly inappropriate
Might I suggest that you self-revert?
