Oh yeah US convention for dates? Forget it man. I lived two years in the US being born on June 12th because some freak had misread 04/12 (4th December). So at best you'll get an August from me, never ever a date the wrong way around. You freaks. Pffft. And write something on your user page. Red links are hurting my eyes. :P. Oh. Hugs and pink guns. notafish }<';> 01:03, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmation[edit]

Thank you for your confirmation working both previous and in advance. Also thanks for your fixing tweaks. Have you been contacted by Ceroteja?

Since the beginning of the Election is coming soon, we need to fix the deadline, I guess. How about August 29, one day later the acceptance closing? We/you will fix the list, and then pass it to developers ...

I asked Zuirdj to let you tell his phone number till Monday (UTC), as you have known already. I'll tell other (uncontacted) candidates the same things. Opinions? (Please mail me and other two).

Could you please contact with Tim or Brion about the date when they give us the interface data of boardvote? I am not sure who has been exactly caring for that. Perhaps Tim, but he seems to be on vacances ... (at least from IRC, so). Without interface, we cannot begin the voting. And for convinience of translators, the sooner, the better.

Thank you for your attention, P.S. *hugs* --Aphaia 09:29, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright/logo question[edit]

Hello Brad,

We'd like to have your opinion about a logo proposed for Wikiversity. The discussion is there : Wikiversity/logo#6 (Child, Earth & Question mark). Could you please leave a comment, and if the logo is not allowed, could you tell us how we could modify it?

Thanks. guillom 13:50, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will put the legal bit on the page for the second round. All entrants will be required to assign their rights in the logos to the Foundation. WMF must have complete ownership of the logo. As to the specifics, the rule is simply that WMF must have complete ownership of the project logos; anything that is not capable of being owned as a complete copyright (not copyleft) and very specifically used as a WMF trademark cannot be used. That's the only requirement.--BradPatrick 21:00, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Personality rights?[edit]

Hey Brad, there are some issues with the use of celebrity photos. Do personality rights laws allow a photograph of a celebrity to be put under a free license at all? This has implications for our fair use policy. Borisblue 07:59, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name for Wikiversity - 「維基大學」[edit]

Dear Brad, Would there be any legal problem if we call zh:wikiversity 「維基大學」, which means 「wiki-university」?--Hillgentleman 08:51, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe there is any reason not to - the Foundation will be pursuing the trademark.--BradPatrick 17:43, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry - I do not understand what you said. May we use this title - 「維基大學」 ?--Hillgentleman|User Talk 14:24, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Brad is doing lawyer-talk and as such, you won't get a yes or no from him, unless he was put on the stand. 222.165.172.184 15:05, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unusual Article merch[edit]

Did you get my email? Since I haven't heard back, I assume that everything's kosher and I'll add them to the store. Tlogmer 17:00, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Apropos of nothing, does the board claim the right not to seat a properly elected candidate? (I'm not saying I think he actually has a snowball's chance in hell - I'm just sayin') —Random832 20:12, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like Brad's done his business of defaming me, and now he's moved on to happier venues. -- Thekohser 17:07, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Its source and license, please?--Jusjih 03:33, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
