The Community Wishlist Survey[edit]

Hi,

You get this message because you’ve previously participated in the Community Wishlist Survey. I just wanted to let you know that this year’s survey is now open for proposals. You can suggest technical changes until 11 November: Community Wishlist Survey 2019.

You can vote from November 16 to November 30. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won’t send out a separate reminder to you about that. /Johan (WMF) 11:25, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was very surprised to see that you had been indefinitely blocked from editing the wikipedia[edit]

I was very surprised to see that you had been indefinitely blocked from editing the wikipedia in 2023.

I was very surprised when I was indefinitely blocked from editing the wikipedia in 2021.

My block was, IMO, indefensible. I tried to make sense of your block log, because I suspected your block may have been indefensible too.

I think the wikipedia is suffering from something equivalent to an auto-immune disorder.

In an auto-immune disorder an animal's quality control system, the immune system, attacks healthy organs, not intruders. I was a very good contributor. My recollection is that you were as well.

Can I ask whether you want to share your version of what happened to you?

Cheers! Geo Swan (talk) 12:24, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • In particular, the first entry in your block log cited this edit as an instance of a "personal attack", even though you don't see you calling anyone any names, or making any disparaging comments on anyone's intelligence, character.

If you're wondering what has just been revision deleted on en:Wikipedia talk:Arbitration Committee/Noticeboard#Arbitration motion regarding Ireland article names - required location of move discussions rescinded it's this:

On the subject of Ireland, I have just discovered that BrownHairedGirl has been banned for a year. During the case the phrase "brace yourself Bridget" came up. I have read BrownHairedGirl's statement at the workshop. I know a woman named Bridget who got a divorce and reverted to using her Irish maiden name. Her marriage certificate was put out for collection in the trash, from where I retrieved it. She has three sons, who went to live with their father. She never had the decree nisi made absolute, and the family reunited and later moved to another part of the country to make a fresh start with relatives. So @BrownHairedGirl: I hope you will ask to come back and that we will see you in August. The compliments of the season to you and your family.
