Standard bot policy on fiwiki [edit]

Hello Carsrac. You listed fiwiki as using the standard bot policy with automatic approval, but there is no mention of this on its request page and I cannot find any discussion to this effect. Also, the wiki is already listed as allowing global bots without implementing the policy. Could you clarify? —Pathoschild 00:20:53, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

This looks like a mistake. I undid the changes. --Silvonen 07:51, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
I must have read something about that they accept global bots. It is in both languages english and the local language. I will ask it on the official way. Carsrac 20:21, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, we accept global bots, but we don't otherwise use the standard bot policy. That is why fiwiki is (correctly) listed below the Bot policy/Implementation#Where it is policy table in the "global bots (without policy)" section. To make this absolutely clear, nothing needs to be changed in the meta documentation, and it is not necessary to ask if global bots can be accepted on fiwiki, as they already are... --Silvonen 05:15, 24 November 2008 (UTC)--Silvonen 05:15, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. So do I, and other botowners with a global flag, have ask bot flag or not on the fi.wiki ?? Carsrac 15:40, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
No, global bots are enabled on that wiki. —Pathoschild 16:14:26, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Global bot policy on alswiki [edit]

Hello. I see that you've added a comment on alswiki on Bot_policy/Implementation#Proposed_implementation. However, it doesn't say on als:Wikipedia:Bot_policy that it uses global bot policy, only that they use global bots, which is one small part of the global bot policy. Can you check this? Laaknor 16:22, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

The global bots are more then welcome there. But they should make a little effort to introduce themself. The normal bots without the global bot flag should go the regular way of approval. The local burocrate is very pro bot and very active. Carsrac 15:17, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but you do not answer the question; does alswiki use the global bot policy, or does it only allow global bots without the global bot policy? If they only use the global bot-part, saying something about automatic approval is unneccesary. Also it's problematic for the local community to append the global bot policy with their own policy about introductions. Laaknor 11:26, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Fundraising translation feedback [edit]

Hey Carsrac,

I wanted to ask for your help. As you may be aware we have been running banners on many language wikis. We have a lot of new content this year and I really want to conduct a thorough review of our translations. This is a combination of feedback from the community, readers, donors as well as those with professional translator experience. This will help us ensure the highest quality of translations used in our messaging.

To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to give us feedback for Dutch using This Link

Simply follow the simple instructions on that page and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page.

Many Thanks
