Hola Elisardojm, gracias por el aviso que me dejaste en w:es; aunque llamarle traducción de textos es un poco exagerado, simplemente me amoldaba al formato que había, completando detallitos. A pesar que diste por finiquitado el listado de webs incluí el aviso en la sefardí y la romaní, creo que quedan todavía, aunque no sé si compensará un mayor esfuerzo, está claro que los interesados seguramente colaboran de vez en cuando en Wikipedia en "español"; sin embargo pienso que quizá se debiera dejar el aviso en las wikis en ar: en: y pt:, ya que tenemos compatriotas que hablan esos idiomas en áreas puntuales del territorio, y si bien son bilingües, también lo son los de los otros portales cntactados. By the way if you are interesting in helping Fundraising related translation, can you please help a bit other pages like Fundraising 2008/Questions/es? While it seems to be complete, it isn't: the original version contains 17 questions (cf. Fundraising_2008/Questions/en) instead of 8.

Era útil que houvesse maior intercâmbio entre os wikipedistas portugueses e espanhóis (principalmente os galegos) e entre a Wikimedia Portugal e a Wikimedia España. Translate some names for hundreds software projects including MediaWiki

Hello, I'm writing you because you subscribed to a Language support team. As you know, Wikimedia projects exist in almost 300 languages; supporting them all is a big effort so we partner with other organisations. One small but visible thing we miss is that many interwiki links in sidebar (among others) don't offer a translation of the language name when hovered. We're now able to translate 100 more language names in your language.

If you're interested, I can create you an account to submit translations on the CLDR web tool (within June 14): please send an email to ask one and I'll follow up with instructions. On CLDR you can translate and tweak many other things, if you desire; your work will impact hundreds of software projects. Thanks, Nemo 17:58, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

Monuments of Spain Contests

• Lenguas: seguro que habrá que traducirlo. De momento estamos empezando y lo construímos sólo en inglés, pero habrá hacer versiones en más lenguas. Como traducirlo todo supone luego mantener todo (me refiero por ejemplo a los puntos y participantes) habrá que pensar en que sólo se traduzca una parte.
• Dar publicidad: pensaba que saliera de alguna forma en las wikipedias de todas las lenguas.
• Puntos: de hecho he simplificado el sistema sueco, por aquello de que igual lo que en una lengua es destacado en otra le llaman infraesbozo. Pero voy a dotorear lo de las quejas a los suecos, que se aprende con dolor, pero no tiene por qué ser propio.

- This is the part of a series of community consultation pages. The WMF Community Advocacy team has put together a list at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Strategy/Translations. We're hoping to launch the consultation on January 18th. Realizing getting all translations in place before the launch of the consultation may not be possible (and that people will likely help with translations after the launch), I'd be really grateful for any assistance especially that you can give in translating the templates at that Meta page link, like this one. It'll probably be harder for casual translators to help out with those!

Inspire Campaign on content curation & review

I've recently launched an Inspire Campaign to encourage new ideas focusing on content review and curation in Wikimedia projects. Wikimedia volunteers collaboratively manage vast repositories of knowledge, and we’re looking for your ideas about how to manage that knowledge to make it more meaningful and accessible. We invite you to participate and submit ideas, so please get involved today! The campaign runs until March 28th.

All proposals are welcome - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.

Proposals in any language are welcome during the campaign - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Question on translation

Thank you again for your splendid work in the COH Challenge!

Two days ago, the Connected Open Heritage project ended, and we are working hard to spread the words about the data and images that have been uploaded to Wikimedia projects as much as possible. As part of that, we have written a template for a press release that we will send to different Wikimedia chapters in countries were there have been data added on cultural heritages. I saw that you state that you like to translate between English and Spanish on your User Page. If you have the time and feel like it, it would be a tremendous help for us if you'd like to translate the template into Spanish (and any other language you speak). Community Wishlist Survey 2021: Invitation

The 2021 Community Wishlist Survey is now open! This survey is the process where communities decide what the Community Tech team should work on over the next year. We encourage everyone to submit proposals until the deadline on 30 November, or comment on other proposals to help make them better. The communities will vote on the proposals between 8 December and 21 December.

We, the Community Tech, are one of the Wikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.

Hello Elisardojm, I noticed your high score in the Ukraine challenge and was quite impressed. I've been working around 6 hours a day and only have about 300 points. What tools are you using to translate language and code for content, infoboxes, images, etc. and complete articles so quickly? What is your general work process? Thank you. Hi Shari Garland, I have used Wikipedia's Content Translation tool. It is a very useful tool because it has an integrated automatic translator and adapts the templates and the format of the original articles also automatically. In many of the articles, the only work I had to do was revising the translation, thus saving a lot of time. In addition, I translated several articles from Spanish to Galician, and since they are my two native languages, the task was even easier. But I really recommend using the Content Translator for these tasks, it still needs to improve its performance but it still helps a lot. Greetings. --Elisardojm (talk) 19:31, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Es conveniente que en cada uno de ellos indiques los puntos que recibes por cada uno para facilitar los cálculos de tu puntuación total. Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month 2022 invitation

This year Wikimedia Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Ukrainian Institute, has launched the second edition of writing challenge "Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month", which lasts from 17 February to 17 March 2022. The campaign is dedicated to famous Ukrainian artists of cinema, music, literature, architecture, design and cultural phenomena of Ukraine that made a contribution to world culture.

I would like to invite you to participate again in this writing challenge! We have updated the list of suggested articles and announced new prizes for contestants to keep interest in different fields of Ukrainian culture. WikiGap Challenge 2022

Hi! As one of the participants of the WikiGap Challenge 2021, I wanted to inform you that we have launched the 2022 edition of the Challenge – and you are of course more than welcome to join! The landing page of the challenge is on this page. This year, due to the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are extending the Challenge to 8 May. I hope this might give some extra time for everyone to take part.

As last year, the UN Human Rights Office has nominated some 25 women human rights defenders, this year specifically focusing on women active within the fields of environment and climate. Writing articles about these women yield bonus points.

After two successful campaigns, Wikimedia Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Ukrainian Institute, decided to launch "Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month" in the year 2023, which will last from 1st until 31st March. The campaign is dedicated to famous Ukrainian artists of cinema, music, literature, architecture, design, and cultural phenomena of Ukraine that are now part of world heritage.
