Bug 38642[edit]

Hi J 1982, I notice you've taken an interest in inclusionism. I am the MediaWiki developer who wrote mw:Extension:PureWikiDeletion (implementing semi-deletion); I am always looking for ways to increase transparency with reference to deleted articles. I thought you might be interested in the discussion on bug 38642, which is sort of a middle ground between the status quo and semi-deletion. It would add a configuration setting to add a preference checkbox for sending users copies of pages on their watchlists that are deleted. So, for example, if you were to write an article that got speedily deleted, you could have a copy automatically emailed to you without having to ask a sysop.
